Mr Grasim International Waiting to Join Hindi Filmdom

          NEW DELHI: The fifth 'Grasim Mr International 2002' was held in Delhi on October 26. Twenty-six countries participated in this pageant. Internationally acclaimed celebrities and eminent personalities from the fields of cinema, sports, art and culture formed the jury panel.

          Grasim Mr International, a fortnighht-long event, culminated into the final gala evening in the Capital unleashing new talent. Grasim Mr International is the only international male personality pageant held in India. While Julio Cabrera from Venezuela won the first runner-up and Odysseas Karousis from Greece bagged the second runner-up place, Raghu Mukherjee from India won the much-coveted title of 'Grasim Mr International 2002'. With the prestigious title of 'Grasim Mr International' Raghu won a cash prize of 7,500 dollars.

           Born and brought up in Banglore and the only child of his parents, for Raghu Mukherjee, Grasim Mr International 2002 means more than just winning a title ... After winning Grasim Mr India, Raghu's immediate goal was Mr International and emerging triumphant in Mr International 2002 has further elevated his spirits to venture into the magical world of cinema. Raghu has already done a regional film and is waiting for the appropriate opportunity in Hindi films.

          Grasim Mr International is the only international male pageant that is hosted in india.

          MUMBAI: How to make a perfect wedding? How to look the best on that very special day of life? How to make it all seem like a dream?

           The three-day Femina Bridal Show 2002 which ended on Friday, October 25, seemed to provide an answer to all these "how to's" that go in making an ideal wedding. The key features of the show included fashion shows, colourful bindi, mehndi and jewellery displays.

          The seven talented fashion designers who showcased clothes included Mona Pali, Ragini Singhania, Ritu Kumar, Shaina NC, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Vinita Pittie, Arjun Khanna. They all displayed their best bridal wear but designer Ritu Kumar and Ragini Singhania's bridal collection stood prominent.

           Consistent with the recent trends, heavy lehngas and kurtas are in high demand in the West. According to Ragini Singhania, Indian traditional art and craftsmanship is unique, unequalled anywhere in the world.
