Prince Charles hates 'bloody' journalists

     Washington: Prince Charles is apparently frustrated by the intrusion of media in his life and this was more than evident at a press conference in Klosters Switzerland, where he was taking an annual skiing vacation. According to EOline, when a journalist asked Charles how he was feeling about his impending nuptials to Camilla Parker Bowles, he said "Well it is a very nice thought isn't it, I am very glad you have heard of it anyway." "Bloody people. I can't bear that man, he is so awful, he really is. I hate doing this," he was later quoted as saying to his sons. However, the media's assembled microphones picked up his bitter remarks and his aides came forward to cover up for him. "He wasn't looking forward to it. We have an agreement with the media where they give them space during the holiday but a few paparazzi yesterday got the holiday off to a bad start. I think the prince was a little bit upset about that. He doesn't have contempt for the media," Charles's spokesman, Paddy Harverson, was quoted as saying.

Gibson terms Schiavo's death 'state-sanctioned murder' (Go To Top)

     Sydney: Actor and filmmaker Mel Gibson has termed the death of severely brain damaged Terri Schiavo, "nothing more than state-sanctioned murder". Speaking to Fox News, Gibson insisted that Ms Schiavo was not in a vegetative state and should have been kept alive. "I heard their cry for help," the maker of the film The Passion of the Christ said of Ms Schiavo's parents. "I just sit here watching this whole scenario play out in front of me with my mouth wide open, that our country has come to this. It is a really black day. It's nothing more than state-sanctioned murder," he added. Schiavo died yesterday after the Supreme Court again refused to order the re-installation of her feeding tube.

     London: Rod Stewart has said that he believes in fate and claims that it brought him and fiancie Penny Lancaster together. Rod- who is set to marry the model later this year - says Penny walked into his life the night he split from estranged wife Rachel Hunte and adds that he knew instantly that Penny was 'The One'. "We met six years ago at a Christmas party at The Dorchester hotel in London. It was the night Rachel and I decided, or rather she decided, that we were breaking up. God must have meant it to happen. I was in that angry period. I thought we had it all going for us, Rachel and me. But I saw Penny on the dance floor. She's an extraordinarily good dancer. She was tormenting me", Night and Day magazine quoted the rocker as saying. However, the couple didn't begin seeing each other for six months because Rod was reportedly very upset over his split with wife Rachel. 60-year-old Rod, who is 26 years older than Penny, says she is the most loving woman he has ever met. "Penny is the most caring, nurturing and loving woman I've ever met in my life",Femalefirst quoted him as saying to the magazine.

Kutcher's Kabbalah bracelet cost his producers 100,000 dollars (Go To Top)

     London: Hollywood actor and Punk'd host Ashton Kutcher's devotion to Kabbalah cost his producers a100,000 dollars to edit his wrist out of shot for his latest film Guess Who? because he sported a Kabbalah bracelet throughout the shooting. The actor has been following the controversial offshoot of Judaism since he began seeing Kabbalah devotee Demi Moore two years ago. According to American gossip site The Scoop, test audiences were scandalised to see Kutcher playing one half of an inter-racial relationship in the comedy, wearing a red string Kabbalah bracelet. Producers reportedly editted the bracelet out of the film with the help of digital imagery though they refuse to give away the details. "They spent something like 100,000 dollars on digital imaging to remove it", Femalefirst quoted a source as saying.

McConaughey deciphers Cruz's Spanish curse (Go To Top)

     London: Actor Matthew McConaughey did not let girlfriend Penelope Cruz know that he knows Spanish, while they shot their latest movie "Sahara" in Morocco. McConaughey understood every word of Madrid-born Cruz's regular swears on set in Morocco as she endured the shoot sessions with him, meeting blinding sandstorms, spiders, and snakes in the process. "I understand more (Spanish) than she knows! I just haven't told her yet. I just pretended not to know what kind of cuss words she was using!", Femalefirst quoted him assaying.

     London: Fifty per cent of all women in Britain own a sex toy, a sensational new survey has revealed. According to The Sun, the survey shows that these sex toys are all set to outsell washing machines, with 2.4 million girly gadgets being produced every year. Ann Summers has just announced a 10 per cent rise in the sale of sex toys and a survey by Durex shows that more than half of couples use an aid to spice up their love life. They found that the north eastern part of Britain has 55 per cent of couples owning a toy, after questioning some 10,000 couples.Couples in Yorkshire are stand next with 51 per cent. The survey also revealed that the most popularly used sex toy is a vibrator with 53 per cent using them. "The further north you go the naughtier people get. Our Manchester shop has been our top-seller for years", the report quoted Jacqueline Gold of Ann Summers as saying.

Presley's wife hid his gifts to their daughter (Go To Top)

    London: Elvis Presley's wife Priscilla Presley revealed that she would hide expensive gifts that her husband would give their daughter Lisa Marie, so that people wouldn't poke fun at the youngster. She said that she upset her daughter time and again by taking away gifts her father had bought her because they were inappropriate for a little girl. "He gave her a fur coat that was a mink coat and she brought it home. I think he gave it to her for her birthday and I said, 'You're not wearing this. This is not for you. You're five years old,' Priscilla was quoted by Femalefirst, as saying. "I called him up and I said, 'What are you doing?' It was just too much. "Even though a child doesn't put a lot on it, others put a lot on it. The comments from other people: 'Oh my God, she has this, she has that,' that really bothered me. "I would take things and put it in the closet... He gave her a little diamond ring one time when she was about six-years-old. I would take that. She'd love it and then she'd forget about it," she added. Mother and daughter teamed up for their first TV interview together on Oprah Winfrey's show in America.
