Britney to quit pop for her tot

     London: Britney Spears has said that her priority would be to look after her baby she is expecting later this year, even if it meant quitting her pop career, and that she would step away from the limelight if she were not allowed to take her baby to studios, recording sessions, tours and interviews. She has also ruled out hiring a nanny to take care of their first child, as she says she trusts no one but herself to look after her child. "I wouldn't trust anyone to look after my child, and if that means the end of my career, then so be it," IOL quoted her as saying.

Paris Hilton gets waxed at Madame Tussauds (Go To Top)

     Washington: 'House of Wax' star Paris Hilton is the latest celebrity to become a full sized waxwork at the Madame Tussauds museum chain. Her figure will be unveiled at The New York branch of the museum at a ceremony to be attended by the cast of the 'House of Wax' before the release of the movie on May 6. And though Paris is elated at the prospect of having the waxwork displayed at the world famous venue, she regrets the fact that due to her forgetfulness, her pet pooch Tinkerbell will not be cast aside her. " I didn't bring Tinkerbell to the thing. They wanted to make her too, but I forgot to take her to the thing where they take pictures of you," zap 2 it quoted her as saying . Though Hilton has not yet seen her wax figure, she nevertheless seems to be extremely happy with the honour. "I think it's pretty cool," she added.

George Clooney makes peace with the Italians (Go To Top)

     Washington: George Clooney has written a letter to his neighbours in Laglio, Italy assuring them that he had no intention of making their beach his own private property. According to Contactmusic.com, locals started damaging Clooney's property when they saw him cleaning up the sand on the shores of Lake Como. But the star has now assured them that he was merely cleaning up the beach for everybody's use. In a letter sent to the local council, he wrote, "I have never and would never try to take the beach away... Let me earn your respect and your citizenship."

Kylie Minogue's 'Showgirl' tour a box office hit   (Go To Top)

     London: Pop singer Kylie Minogue's 11-night-long 'Showgirl' tour is shaping up to be one of the biggest tours of the year, with figures for sold-out concerts in Glasgow and Birmingham grossing a total of 3,984,181 pounds at the box office. According to Fox News, while Kylie's five night spell at Glasgow's grossed 1,591,000 pounds, her six-night stint at Birmingham's grossed 2,392,744 pounds. Her upcoming shows include a seven-night residency at London's Earl's Court, a series of Australian concerts in May, besides concerts in Singapore and Hong-Kong scheduled for June, followed by Glastonbury Festival at the end of the month.

Angelina Jolie respects co-stars' wives  (Go To Top)

     London: Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie, who is reportedly romancing 'Troy' actor Brad Pitt, has said that she always show respect to the wives of her co-stars, especially when she is having a sex scene with the actor. "If your co-star's wife is there you make a point of showing respect to them, showing them that they're the most important person," femalefirst quoted Jolie as saying.
