Voldemort's costumes made Ralph Fiennes accept 'Harry Potter' offer (Go To Top)

     Washington: British Actor Ralph Fiennes has said that he immediately agreed to star in the next Harry Potter movie, after the movie bosses showed him sketches of the costumes he was supposed to wear in the film. Fiennes, who had criticised the previous installments in the hit series, will play the part of Lord Voldemort in 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire', and is extremely excited about his role. "I've done realistic villains but something in that fantastical realm, children's realm, the dark Lord; I hadn't really done that before. When I saw some pictures that they drew for the look (of the character) that's when I took the bait. I thought it looked really cool. I think I'm doing the next one where I have a big fight with Dumbledore," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

Meera turns 'Killer' Madhuri for Mahesh Bhatt (Go To Top)

    Lahore: Pakistani film actress Meera, who has earned more name and fame after taking to Indian films, has accepted a role in a new Bollywood film "Killer", produced by noted film-producer Mahesh Bhatt. Meera's role in her new film is reportedly quite similar to the one performed by Madhuri Dixit in "Tezab", that of a dancer girl. The Pakistani starlet told the Daily Times in an interview, that she has also signed another film 'Roti' alongside Bobby Deol. She also said that her new film with Lucky Ali would be released in two months, and that she had hired Javed Akhtar to write her family production to be released in Pakistan. She clarified, that she performed her roles according to the demands of the character, without indulging in vulgarity. Meera's sister Aqsa, who is in India, reportedly said she was averse to exposure. That's why, she said, she had refused a role in Mahesh Bhatt's 'Gangster', as it required a great deal of exposure.

Timberlake is no trouser snake (Go To Top)

     Washington: Hip hop singer Justin Timberlake was vidicated when he received an apology and substantial damages from U.K. tabloid News of the World, after the newspaper admitted publishing a false story claiming that Timberlake had cheated on his girlfriend Cameron Diaz. The story was headlined "Trousersnake Did Dirty on Diaz," and included a detailed account of model Lucy Clarkson's alleged fling with Timberlake. "I was impressed," Clarkson had recalled to the tabloid in its July issue. Adding: "He's bigger than average, and I was overwhelmed. But I didn't really like kissing him, because his lips were too small." However, Timberlake denied ever having met Clarkson. The "Rock Your Body" singer demanded an apology from the tabloid and, when his request was denied, he went forward with legal action in London's High Court. Clarkson subsequently admitted that her story was an "entire fabrication on her part," her lawyer, David Griffiths said in court. The model was ordered to issue an apology to Timberlake and to return the money she was paid for the story, reports Eonline. News of the World was also ordered to apologize in court and to run a prominent retraction of the story.

Diana and Dodi immortalised in bronze (Go To Top)

     London: To commemorate the eighth death anniversary of Princess Diana, a new sculpture dedicated to her and her companion Dodi Fayed, who also died in the 1997 Paris car crash, will be placed in Harrods in London. The bronze statue, entitled Innocent Victims, was commissioned by Dodi's father, Harrods owner Mohammed Al Fayed. The work depicts Diana and Dodi smiling into each other's eyes as they apparently run along a beach together, with a bird poised for flight at the tip of their joined hands. Created by family friend Bill Mitchell, the sculpture will occupy a special place inside the legendary London store.

Keanu Reeves and Zeta-Jones set to sizzle in 'Stompanato' (Go To Top)

     Washington: Keanu Reeves and Catherine Zeta-Jones may star in Adrian Lyne's new film 'Stompanato', which is based on the life of Johnny Stompanato, a Los Angeles hoodlum, who was murdered by the teenage daughter of his actress girlfriend, Lana Turner. According to Zap2It quoting the Hollywood Reporter, in the biopic, said to be produced by Warner Bros, while Reeves may play the role of Stompanato, who ran with the city's most successful women and most dangerous men, Zeta-Jones is more likely to play his love interest, Turner. In April 1958, Turner's 14-year-old daughter Cheryl Crane stabbed Stompanato to death with a butcher knife. The death was ruled as justifiable homicide, but rumours flew that Crane and Stompanato were romantically linked, and Turner actually killed Stompanato.

Pitt seeks Jolie advice from Cruise's ex-PR guru (Go To Top)

     Washington: Hollywood star Brad Pitt is reportedly trying to hook up with Tom Cruise's former PR guru Pat Kingsley, as he plans a press onslaught about his romance with actress Angelina Jolie. According to sources, the 'Troy' star, who is finally ready to make public his personal life, wants Kingsley, who was mysteriously sacked by Cruise last year, to help mastermind his upcoming TV appearances and magazine interviews. "Brad's set to go public about his loving relationship with Angelina, but wants the event handled carefully and executed strategically. He knows Pat's perfect for the job," Contactmusic quoted an insider as saying.

     Washington: Britney Spears' dancer husband Kevin Federline, who remained unemployed for the majority of time after his marriage to the pop singer, has reportedly found a job. According to Ratethemusic quoting the Sun, Federline has been recruited as a dance instructor at dance school of Darrin Henson, who has choreographed routines for Spears, 'N Sync and Jennifer Lopez, and has recently branched out into an acting and directing career. Interestingly, Federline gets the job only a month before his pregnant wife gives birth to their first child together.

Jolie's ex to make movie with her current flame (Go To Top)

    London: Hollywood beauty Angelina Jolie's ex husband Billy Bob Thornton and her present boyfriend Brad Pitt are all set to make a movie together. The Hollywood actor, who was married to Brad's current girlfriend, Angelina Jolie, will star in upcoming film 'Peace Like A River', which is being made by Brad's production company, reports Femalefirst. However, sources claim Billy Bob - who is now dating special effects expert Connie Angland, with whom he has a baby daughter, Bella - isn't bothered that Brad is dating his former wife. . According to The New York Post he told a friend: "The Angelina ship has sailed for me. I have a new kid with my girlfriend. Brad and Angie seem happy together. Why not make a movie for him? It will be one big happy family."

     London: Hollywood actress Jessica Alba has been voted the celebrity with the most wanted hairstyle in a new poll by beautyriot.com. Long, brown, and honey-highlighted do of Alba, who came into the limelight for her performance as a stripper in 'Sin City', beat hairstyle of singer and actress Jessica Simpson, who came on second place. "Jessica Alba represents the new non - traditional beauty. Her appearance as a No.1 beauty icon signals a trend towards a lower maintenance, more nonchalant, self confident look for women," femalefirst quoted website's Editor-in-Chief, Kirsten Lambertsen, as saying.

Tom Cruise is no William Shakespeare (Go To Top)

     London: Hollywood hunk Tom Cruise is incensed with a newspaper, after it published an article saying that the actor claimed, he was Shakespeare in his previous birth. According to the Sun, the rumour spread like wild fire after an internet hoax in which a spoof interview with the star went on the web. War of The Worlds star Tom was falsely reported to have said he was a poet, composer and discoverer in a previous life. The spoof also went on to claim that Cruise thought he was a reincarnation of Shakespeare, due to his belief in the Scientology. "This interview is a total fabrication. Tom did not say those things," a spokesman for Cruise said. The report wrongly claimed Cruise said: "I was much happier in previous existences when I wrote plays, composed music, conquered nations, discovered continents, and developed cures for diseases.
