Prince Charles to marry Camilla on April 8

London: Prince Charles will marry his long-term partner Camilla Parker Bowles on April 8, officials at Clarence House said on Thursday. According to The BBC, the ceremony will take place at Windsor Castle and Mrs Parker Bowles will take the title HRH the Duchess of Cornwall. However, when the Prince of Wales becomes King, Camilla will not be known as Queen Camilla, but as the Princess Consort, Clarence House added. The move will end years of speculation on a relationship which has spanned the decades since they first met in 1971. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh have given the Prince of Wales and Mrs Parker Bowles their "warmest good wishes for their future together", Buckingham Palace said Charles was married to Diana, Princess of Wales, who died in a car crash in 1997. The princess famously referred to Mrs Parker Bowles as one of the contributing factors in the breakdown of her marriage to Charles. The couple, who had two sons - princes William and Harry - had divorced in 1996, a year before Diana died in a Paris tunnel crash along with her beau. Conservative leader Michael Howard said he was "delighted" at the news, but Downing Street has refused to comment until a full statement is released by Clarence House. Parker Bowles' current position has meant that her status was dogged with problems, including her seating at social functions away from her partner. Last June, Mrs Parker Bowles was mentioned in the Prince's accounts, which marked a new realm of acceptance. The marriage is likely to be a sensitive issue because Mrs Parker Bowles is divorced and her former husband is still alive. If he became king, Charles would be the supreme governor of the Church of England and some Anglicans remain opposed to the remarriage of divorcees. The church is officially neutral on the issue, but the former Archbishop of Canterbury, George Carey, recently urged the couple to marry. The BBC said: "This is a step not without considerable risk by the Royal Family.

Diners can rip up the menu and toss it in their soup or have the sheets baked or fried. "You can make an ink-jet printer do just about anything. Just imagine going through a magazine and looking at an ad for pizza. You wonder what it tastes like so you rip a page out and eat it," he added.

James Bond is licensed to smoke (Go To Top)

London: Thanks to The British Board of Film Classification James Bond can carry on smoking. According to The Telegraph, the board rejected calls from health groups to cut film scenes showing actors smoking saying that such drastic action smacked of "the nanny state" and there was little public demand for the change. The board added that it felt no qualms about adult films containing smoking scenes as long as they were not glamorised and not part of a deal between a film and tobacco company. "It becomes ridiculous if you can't put smoking in a film in context. If you were making a film set in the trenches in the First World War, it would look very odd not to have smoking. Likewise period films in the 1940s and 1950s, when a lot more people smoke, " a board spokesman was quoted as saying. "If you were remaking Casablanca, Rick's Bar wouldn't be Rick's Bar if it wasn't incredibly smoky and I think we feel that it is absolutely fine for James Bond to smoke. However, I don't know what we would do if Harry Potter took up smoking in his next film," he added.
