Affair with wife leads to divorce (Go To Top)

     London: A Jordanian man divorced his wife after discovering that she was his cyber chat room girlfriend. Bakr Melhem was flirting with the woman through Internet for several months. But, when they finally met up at a bus station, Melhem was surprised to find that the woman was his wife Sanaa. According to Jordanian news agency Petra, Bakr Melhem immediately shouted the Arabic words for 'I divorce thee' three times, whereas the woman responded by calling him 'a liar' before she fainted. While Melhem had assumed the online identity of Adnan, his wife had described herself as an unmarried Muslim lady called Jamila.

The Aviator sweeps the BAFTA (Go To Top)

     London: The Aviator swept the BAFTA's by winning four awards including Best Film, Best Production Design and Best Make-up and Hair. While screen beauty Cate Blanchett, picked up the Best Supporting Actress award for her role as Katharine Hepburn in the movie, Leonardo DiCaprio, missed out the best actor award for his portrayal of Howard Hugh.

Jude Law's wife swapping episode is true, says Pearl Lowe (Go To Top)

     London: Singer Pearl Lowe has reportedly confessed to her wife swapping episode with Hollywood hunk Jude Law "It is all true -it was a mad, bad time," the actress was quoted by the Newsoftheworld as saying. Pearl also revealed how the sexual romp almost destroyed her long-time relationship with Supergrass drummer Danny Goffey. The singer broke her silence as Hollywood star Law denied he and ex-wife Sadie Frost had romped with Pearl and Danny on a Greek holiday in 2001. "The story's correct-even though I wish it wasn't. I'd much rather be remembered as Pearl the Singer than Pearl the Swinger," Pearl revealed. "It was a time in mine and Danny's lives that I would rather forget. We thought it would be fun but in fact in turned out to have some unpleasant repercussions. Danny and I had real problems in our relationship as a result," she added.

Matthew Perry admitted to hospital (Go To Top)

      Washington: Friends star, Matthew Perry was taken to hospital after he suffered a seizure. He is believed to have taken prescription drugs. According to The News Of The World, he was rushed into an LA hospital by ambulance after an emergency 911 call. Emergency tests showed traces of barbiturates in his system. He tested negative for illegal drugs such as cocaine and cannabis. "He was admitted because he had an adverse reaction to some prescribed medication. His doctor wanted him in the hospital where they could observe his condition. But he's fine," his spokeswoman was quoted as saying.

A Valentine wedding for Diaz and Timberlake? (Go To Top)

     London: Valentine's day might just see Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz tie the knot, if the rumour mills are to be believed. According to Femalefirst, they planning a trip to Las Vegas on Valentine's Day with the media planning the join them. "The feeling is it may be a wedding, and everyone is excited and splashing out on airfares to cover it," an insider was quoted as saying.
