Brit smiles better than yanks

     London: Julia Roberts had a "Pan-Am smile" but Angelina Jolie's broad smile is "impossible to resist", if a new study conducted by scientists at the University of California is to be believed. According to The Sun, the study suggests that UK smiles are genuine and sincere - but Americans often have "Pan-Am smiles" or "Botox smiles". Brits generally smile by pulling the lips back and upwards to expose the lower teeth. Americans go for a big smile by parting their lips and stretching the corners of their mouths. Psychology professor Dacher Keltner nicknamed the most common UK smile the "Prince Charles" because he has a typical British smile. "It is a polite, formal expression of pleasure," he said.

No 'Hitch' for Will Smith at the box office (Go To Top)

     Washington: Will Smith's romantic comedy 'Hitch' wooed movie-goers for a second consecutive week, topping the North American box office with 31.8 million dollars, according to preliminary figures by Exhibitor Relations. The R-rated movie, which is a blend of horror and superheroes, narrowly beat Keanu Reeves' 'Constantine', which debuted in second place with 30.5 million dollars.

Oscar winning actress Kate Winslet, a mother of two, says that she is determined to keep the right balance between her career and family. The actress has confessed she is proud of her superhuman ability of juggling a Hollywood career and running a busy household as a mother to four-year-old Mia and baby Joe. "Every morning I have what I call my Supermum Moments. My baby wakes up at 5 a.m. and I often leave the house at seven for work, so between five and seven I shower, get myself ready, get Joe fed and make him pureed chicken and butternut squash for the next two days" Female First quoted Kate as saying. "It's so amazing being a mum and I love the sense that I can do it all. I'm a very good wife and a very good mother," she adds.

     London: Prince Harry's girlfriend Chelsy Davy is reportedly devastated by their break up and has reportedly written to Prince Charles to be allowed to see Harry one last time. According to the Daily Mail, friends of Chelsy have revealed that she has taken to drinking in order to cope up with Harry's rejection. "She doesn't want to get up in the morning and she looks terrible, just smoking one cigarette after the other," sources close to Chelsy were quoted as saying. "We've told her to forget Harry and get a life but she's obsessed with trying to get him back. According to Ratethemusic.com, the singer, who is a staunch follower of the mystical Jewish religion, was promoted to an upper category of Kabbalah followers in a ceremony conducted by the Kabbalah Centre founder Rabbi Berg. "Her teachers think she has reached the pinnacle of spiritual understanding. To Madonna this is the best achievement of her life," a source said.      London: The Oscars might be the big night for Cate Blanchett, but she is turning down offers to try on designer Oscar gowns for she's terrified her baby will vomit over them. According to Femalefirst, she is nominated for her role as Katherine Hepburn in 'The Aviator'. She said that she will don her chosen just minutes before hitting the red carpet to avoid any baby mishaps. "I'm just too scared to put on a dress in case the baby vomits on it. I've visited style.com," she was quoted as saying.

     Washington: "Clothing-optional" parties have become the hot-favorite for New York nudies and is now the city's latest trend amongst nudie foodies. And keeping in with the trend on, the member of a club for the nudists gathered on Thursday for a stripped-down feast at John Barry's restaurant on W. 38th St., even as temperatures outside fell below 20 degrees. "It's nice to have something to do when it's winter, when all the beaches are cold", New York daily news quoted Ordover, 42 one of the participants, as saying. "If you actually go to a nudist environment, it is the least sexual environment you can possibly imagine,". "Sexiness is inappropriate nudity, but if everyone's supposed to be naked, it's okay", he added. Reportedly, clothing-optional dinners have become so popular that organizers now get approached by restaurants that want to host their private parties, which require advance registration and covered windows. Created a year ago by nudist John Ordover, the club gathers once a month at a swanky city restaurant for private meals in the buff. They check everything at the door - especially their inhibitions.

     London: Ex-actress Mia Farrow has recounted her scandalous break-up with the Oscar-winning filmmaker, Woody Allen It is after more than eight years since Allen fell for and married Soon-Yi, Mia's adopted Korean daughter, that she speaks about her scars. She lost the love of her life to her daughter Soon-Yi. The man who had been like a father to her since she was seven, married her, devastating Mia Farrow forever. A wedding that shocked New York and Hollywood, Woody Allen, 56, marrying adopted daughter Soon-Yi 21. "To lose a child is the most painful thing in the world," she said. "For my children, they lost a sister. For my son, his father married his sister. I really believed that she would wake up and say, 'What am I doing?' She was 6 years old when I adopted her from Korea. I have to think she didn't really understand what a family was and is.", she added. Mia who turned 60 this year says she has never recovered from finding photos of nude Soon-Yi in Allen's flat in 1992. She was 21 and he was 56. About Woody Allen she says he constantly let her down and dominated her personal and professional life till they were together . Now Allen and Soon-Yi have two adopted girls of their own. Farrow is now working as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF, fighting to eradicate polio, which she herself has suffered. She lives in Connecticut with six adopted children.
