It's official, J Lo is married

     Washington: Pop sensation Jennifer Lopez, who has till now never revealed the details of her marriage, has confirmed her wedlock to her singer friend Marc Anthony. "Yes, we're married,". "I mean, come on, everyone knows. It's not a secret," People magazine quoted J Lo, as saying. J-Lo married salsa singer Marc Anthony in June last year and kept it a secret until now. Lopez is also trying to be a mum to Anthony's three children, aged between four and 18 months. The kids presently live with their mothers, but visit their father and stepmother frequently at their Long Island abode.

     Melbourne: Actors at this year's Oscars are really being pampered with gifts worth 120,000 ranging from mink eyelashes to cashmere pyjamas. According to Herald Sun, some actresses are being paid more than 100,000 dollars to wear jewellery and up to 315,000 dollars to wear designer dresses. Blanchett wear will Katherine Hepburn's white silk evening gloves while Hillary Swank and Charlize Theron will wear Chopard. The resulting international publicity will easily cover the payment. "We are going to reach a point when no one is going to want to wear anything until they get the money. It's all business - that's why you are not going to see what you used to seven years ago on the red carpet. It's all endorsements and, at the end of the day when you have money involved, it's not organic," Cate Blanchett's stylist, Jessica Paster was quoted as saying.

London priest vows to disrupt Charles' wedding (Go To Top)

     London: Prince Charles' wedding plans descended into disarray when a priest vowed to disrupt the civil ceremony. Paul Williamson of St George's Church at Hanworth, West London, said that he has a right to attend the ceremony at Windsor Guildhall on April 8 and that he would declare the marriage of Prince of Wales and Camilla Parker Bowles illegal. "I am not a terrorist, I have no criminal convictions. It will be impossible for them to stop me from being there. I will raise my objections and there is little anyone can do about it," The Sun quoted Williamson as saying. The threat has troubled Palace officials who can stop the Priest only on security grounds.

Prince Charles hurls abuses over his wedding 'farce' (Go To Top)

     London: Prince Charles is reportedly so annoyed by the whole controversy surrounding his marriage to Camilla Parker Bowles that he abused advisers for making a hash of the whole affair. The Prince was enraged as his advisors failed to warn him about the difficulties of getting a licence for him to marry at Windsor Castle, according to the Mirror. His marriage would have opened the door for hundreds of other couples to marry at the castle and so the prince had to switch the venue to Windsor Town hall, as result, the Queen and Prince Philip have refused to attend the ceremony. "The prince really lost his temper. He was telling everyone it had turned into a bloody farce," a source was quoted as saying.

Portman's kiss sparks Jews' ire (Go To Top)

     Washington: Natalie Portman certainly seems to have angered Jews in Israel after she was seen puckering up to a male costar in the shadow Jerusalem's holiest shrine during a movie shoot. According to Eonline, she and actor Aki Avni were canoodling in a parking lot near the wall for a scene for the upcoming film Free Zone. This enraged Jews praying at the Wall, the last relic of the biblical Second Temple and a place where Jewish law forbids the intermingling of males and females. Israeli newspaper Yediot Ahronot reported that a group of worshippers rushed the actors and berated them for their indiscretion, shouting "immoral, immoral!". Police were forced to intervene and asked the film crew to come back later.

    London: It seems that the final battle for actors vying for the role of the British double agent James Bond will now be between Clive Owen and Daniel Craig. After Pierce Brosnan stepped down as the suave spy, a string of actors were touted as the next Bond, ranging from Collin Farell to Ewan McGregor. But now, according to film executives, the two Brits are the strongest contenders for the role, reports the Sun.

     New York: Latino beauty Jennifer Lopez has revealed that the secret to her gorgeous figure is not any rigorous fitness regime but eating salads and meat. According to ratethemusic.com, the singer/actress admits marriage to Marc Anthony has made her feel better about her body and now she only works out if she has to. "These days I'm eating a lot of salads and I'm a big meat-eater, which I bring from my childhood," she was quoted as saying. "I don't smoke, and I drink very little soda. Those things wreak havoc on your skin. And the sleep thing is very important," she added.
