John Lennon almost gave up guitar after just two lessons

     London: Beatles legendary guitarist, John Lennon had almost given up playing the instrument after just two lessons, his early bandmates have revealed. According to, drummer Colin Hanton and bassist Len Garry, who played with Lennon in school band The Quarrymen, Lennon found the instrument too difficult and though he tried lessons but soon decided that it would perhaps take a lifetime for him to learn guitar. "Once Eric [Griffiths, guitarist] and John Lennon actually tried to learn to play guitar properly, they went to a music teacher for two lessons - and decided it was going to take forever to play music properly," Garry, was quoted by the BBC, as saying. He only changed his mind after seeing skiffle king Lonnie Donegan, who proved anyone, could play an instrument.

Female fan pounces on Bruce Willis (Go To Top)

    London: Hollywood icon Bruce Willis was at the centre of a security scare recently when a female fan pounced at him in Montreal, Canada. The 'Die Hard' actor was drinking in a hotel bar when the girl tried to give him trouble with her 'unwanted affection'. She was, however, thrown out of the bar by club members. "Bruce was a gent," The Sun quoted an eye-witness as saying.

Al Pacino devastated over death of father (Go To Top)

     London: Veteran actor Al Pacino is devastated over the death of his father Sal. Pacinio, 64, wept for hours when told that Sal, 82, had passed away after suffering a heart attack in California. The 'Godfather' star and his dad were estranged for years after Sal left Pacino's mother Rose. According to The Sun, Sal and his celebrity son, however, had come close and shared a great rapport from the past few years. "In later years they had formed a bond," revealed a close friend of Pacino.

Affleck buys $4.6 m mansion in Garner's neighbourhood (Go To Top)

    New York: Ben Affleck, it seems, is head over heels in love with his girlfriend Jennifer Garner, as he bought a mansion for 4.6 million dollars in Garner's Brentwood neigborhood to be closer to her. According to The Los Angeles Times, the 'Daredevil' star's luxurious mansion has five bedrooms and an ocean view, and Hollywood insiders have said that the move is a sign of how serious the couple's relationship has become.
