JK Rowling gives birth to baby girl

     Washington: JK Rowling is busy these days but she is not working on her new Harry Potter book but is busy nursing her new child. According to Eonline, she gave birth to a baby girl in Scotland recently. "Both parents are thrilled, and mother and baby are doing well," Rowling's British publisher, Bloomsbury was quoted as saying. This is Rowling's second child with her anesthesiologist husband, Dr. Neil Murray.

Is J Lo's marriage already on the rocks? (Go To Top)

     Washington: Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez and her salsa singer hubby Marc Anthony's marriage is reportedly on the rocks. The couple, who tied the knot in a secret ceremony last June, are reportedly having fights over Anthony's supposedly dominating and chauvinistic attitude. Insiders, meanwhile, have revealed that Anthony is jealous of the 'Maid In Manhattan's' ex-fianci Ben Affleck, and has made her sell the Miami and Los Angeles homes shared by them. Anthony has also allegedly banned the curvaceous pop diva from wearing skimpy outfits, and has told her that he is not interested in having kids as he already has two sons from his first marriage to Dayanara Torres. "They've been arguing, but recently things seem to be getting worse. The main problem is J.Lo wants children and Marc doesn't want any more. But J.Lo's worked flat out to get where she is and wants a child," America's 'In Touch' magazine quoted a source as saying. "Marc made her sell the houses as he wasn't comfortable in places where she had spent time with other men," added the source.

     London: Aussie beauty Nicole Kidman had to reportedly call in the police after she found that her house was bugged. According to The Sun, security cameras caught an intruder planting an electronic listening device at her 5million pound Darling Point mansion in Sydney. The actress was in America at the time and the bug was found a day before her return to Australia. "Conclusive evidence has been captured on video," Noel McMaster, who runs Nicole's security operation, was quoted by the tabloid as saying. "Nicole was shocked and she's determined to get to the bottom of it. It came totally out of the blue and really shook her up. It was hidden in a security compound where her guards stay and was designed to pick up their conversations," a source added.

Jolie wants to adopt a tsunami orphan (Go To Top)

     London: Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie is all set to adopt an orphan from one of the regions devastated by the recent tsunami. The stunning actress, who already has a three-year-old son adopted Cambodian son, Maddox, has been so moved by the plight of children affected by the tsunami, that she wants to visit worst hit areas in Sri Lanka to adopt a child. "I think if children need a home, to adopt them is wonderful. I will be looking into orphans that have just lost their parents, but always wherever there's a need. So we'll see how big my family grows over time," Jolie told American TV show 'Celebrity Justice'. The Tomb Raider star who recently shelved plans to adopt Russian baby boy after discovering it could take up to six months to get him - has made no secret of her desire to have a large family - saying she wanted a "rainbow of children from around the world". ""I prefer to adopt. With every adoption I save a further child from the orphanage," she added.

Christian Slater escapes knife attack unscathed (Go To Top)

     Washington: Christian Slater was reportedly attacked by an individual wielding a knife recently. According to Eonline, he was leaving a West End theater after his stage performance of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest when he was reportedly attacked by an individual wielding a knife. "A 44-year-old man [presumed to be Slater's bodyguard] was attacked by a knife which luckily did not penetrate his skin, but only his clothes," a Scotland Yard spokeswoman was quoted as saying.

Kylie claims 100K in damages from her mentor (Go To Top)

     London: Kylie Minogue is claiming undisclosed damages from Pete Waterman, who helped turn her into one of the world's most successful artists. According to Femalefirst, she has claimed that he owes her more than 176,000 Australian pounds in unpaid profits from the sales of her fourth studio album 'Let's Get To It' and her Greatest Hits album, first released in 1992. She launched the legal action after private investigation firm, De La Haye Royalty, spent two years studying the accounts of Waterman's current venture, PAL production, and discovered that their client had been underpaid by more than 400,000 Australian pounds.

Bookies place 4 to 1 odds on Trump's split (Go To Top)

     New York: Donald Trump might have just got married for the third time recently but the bookies have already started betting on their split. According to New York Daily News, oddsmakers at off-shore gaming company BetWWTS.com say it's 4 to 1 that Donald Trump and his new bride, Melania Knauss will divorce by the end of the year. The odds that they'll stay hitched all year are 1 to 6. The odds on Melania getting pregnant in 2005 are 8 to 1 - and 1 to 10 that she doesn't.
