Posh bans Becks from Snooping (Go To Top)

     London: Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham has reportedly barred her husband David from partying with Rapper Snoop Dogg, as she feels that the womanizing singer is not a good influnce on him. According to Ratethemusic, the Real Madrid ace was thrilled when his idol, Snoop invited him to go partying with him after the Live8 concert. But Victoria was horrified by the proposal - following the string of infidelity accusations against her husband and banned David from spending the evening with the hip-hop star. "I told (Snoop) 'Look Mr Snoopy, you're not taking my husband out, I know all about your reputation,' Posh said. "As if I'd let David go out with him. I don't think he liked me calling him Mr Snoopy, he didn't find it very funny," she added. David who gave Snoop a Real Madrid Beckham shirt as an apology added, "I've wanted to meet him for ages. We got on well. I was impressed with his knowledge of football."

Johnny Depp turns Playboy boss (Go To Top)

     London: Hollywood hunk Johnny Depp is the leading choice to portray Playboy boss Hugh Hefner in a new biopic about the magazine publisher's extraordinary life. Top producer Brian Grazer is working on a script for the project at Universal and Hefner reportedlty likes his choice for a lead. "We've got a first draft of the screenplay, they've talked about Johnny Depp as a possibility," Hefner was quoted by Femalefirst, as saying. "The first order of business is to finish the script and get a good director on board. I like Johnny Depp," he added. However Hefner admits he's sorry the film wasn't made 20 or 30 years ago because he'd have loved James Stewart or Henry Fonda to portray him.

Pink Floyd rule out reunion (Go To Top)

     Washington: Rock legends Pink Floyd, Roger Waters, Dave Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright have refused to make a comeback despite the huge success of their performance at the Live 8 concert. The four member band, which came together for the first time in 24 years, have said that they will never reunite to perform again as they are too old now. Pink Floyd also enthralled their fans by playing four of their hit tracks which included 'Money' and 'Wish you were here'. "Why did we reform? It's a damn good way of spending a weekend", Ratethemusic.com quoted Mason as saying. Gilmour, too, agreed to the fact that this re-union was once-in-a-lifetime event.

Harry Potter in Braille for the blind (Go To Top)

      London: Visually impaired fans of Harry Potter can enjoy the exploits of the boy wizard as a Braille version of the next book is available now. The Royal National Institute of the Blind is taking orders for Braille copies of the novel, out on 16 July. Normally, visually impaired readers have to wait months or even years for books to come out in other formats. "I'm delighted to be part of a publishing initiative that gives blind and partially sighted children and adults the same reading opportunities as sighted book lovers," author, JK Rowling, was quoted by the BBC, as saying. As part of the Right to Read Alliance, Rowling and her publishers, Bloomsbury have worked together to ensure the book was available in other formats.

Potter book sparks price war in stores (Go To Top)

     London: The newest Harry Potter, the sixth is the series is in the midst of a price war. According to The Sun, Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince will now be available at 9.99 pounds by Tesco and Sainsbury. The original cover price was 16.99 pounds. Woolworths and Asda are selling it at 8.99 pounds and 8.96 pounds.

Brad Pitt voted most kissable person (Go To Top)

     London: A survey, conducted by the dental payment plan company, Denpan, to celebrate the National Kissing day, has seen Brad Pitt being voted as the most kissable person, with Angelina Jolie in the second slot. The survey also ranked Wayne Rooney as the least kissable person. Other findings revealed that one out of 10 British, claim to have kissed up to 150 people, and 5 per cent of them have enjoyed a French kiss with more than 200. About a quarter of 3000 people found their lover's techniques not up to the mark, with bad breath or teeth being the biggest turn off's, reports The Mirror.

     London: Former 'Friends' star Jennifer Aniston has urged the paparazzi to stop following her in her private time . The star is reportedly horrified by the amount of publicity her shock separation from Brad Pitt attracted this year and has begged snappers to respect her privacy before she becomes a nervous wreck. "It's reached an awful level. They really need boundaries and it's a really tricky thing because there are so many people saying, 'You're a public figure, you deserve it, you ask for it,' she was quoted by Femalefirst, as saying. "But nobody asks for that kind of intrusion. I didn't sign any kind of paper saying that is going to come with the job. You don't know how far they will go. When we show up for a public appearance, we know that that's expected," she added.

Steven Speilberg desperately seeking UFO's (Go To Top)

     London: Oscar-winning director Steven Speilberg is surprised that that fewer UFO sightings are made now than were made twenty years ago because the technology to record would-be aliens is so much easier now. The 59-year-old film-maker has made a string of movies based on aliens is disappointed that he'll never get the chance to see evidence of a UFO himself. "There are millions of video cameras out there and they're picking up less videos of UFOs, alleged UFOs, than we picked up in the 1970s and 1980s. There's 150 per cent more cameras, so why are we getting less from up there?" Spielberg was quoted by Femalefirst, as saying. "I think that we all know that we're not alone in the universe. I can't imagine that we are the only intelligent biological life form out there. I'm a little less sure in my fifties that I was in my late twenties whether we're actually ever going to find out," he added.

When Madonna was smelling (Go To Top)

     New York: Janice Dickinson, who claims to have gone out dancing with Madonna before she became a star, has revealed that though she possessed excellent dancing skills, her personal hygiene left a lot to be desired. "In the '80s before she was famous, I used to go dancing with Madonna at Danceteria. She and I would be dancing all night on top of the speakers. Madonna had the most vicious body odour. It was like she had not showered in a week. She was a great dancer, but I tried not to get too close to her or I would literally pass out. It was that bad. It was total skank", Page6 quoted her as telling Webster Hall's Baird Jones.
