Stress of split takes heavy toll on Jennifer Aniston

     London: Rumours of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's romance seem to be taking a toll on Jennifer Aniston's health. According to Daily Mail, Aniston collapsed after complaining of nausea and headaches while filming 'The Break Up in Chicago'. "She's been walking around with a sad look on her face and has not been her usual self. In between takes she sat at her table with her head in her hands looking distressed. She has talked about how she is not sleeping well, although she has been trying to be as brave as possible," an insider was quoted as saying. "She can't have escaped all the stories about Brad and Angelina and it looks like the situation has taken a toll on her. While her collapse was blamed on heatstroke everyone thinks it is more down to stress than anything else," the insider added.

Zeta Jones' stalker gets three year sentence (Go To Top)

     Washington: Catherine Zeta's stalker, Dawnette Knight, was ordered a three-year prison sentence in a court hearing in Los Angeles. According to Eonline, Knight has been ordered to abide by a restraining order that calls for her to stay away from Zeta-Jones for 10 years. Zeta-Jones prosecutor Debra Archuleta read from Jones letter that both addressed the court and the stalker. "This person, was very articulate in how she was going to kill me...She was going to 'blow my brains out like JFK.' She was going to cut my throat the way 'O.J. did to Nicole Simpson.' She was going to slice me up 'like (Charles) Manson did to Sharon Tate,' " a statement from Jones said. "You have profoundly affected me in how I conduct my life. Your actions will be with me the rest of my life--how I will be constantly observing, looking over my shoulder," she added.

Kidman speak costs corporate honchos 10,000 pounds a minute (Go To Top)

      Sydney: Hollywood beauty Nicole Kidman will reportedly earn 10,000 pounds a minute to address a group of corporate honchos,at the Forbes Conference at the Sydeney Opera House Kidman who holds the 45th place in the Forbes list of the world's most influential people, will rub shoulders with the Australian Premier, Bob Carr, the Prime Minister, John Howard, and the former mayor of New York, Rudolph Giuliani, to talk about finances. According to the Sydney Morning herald, Kidman is scheduled to address the gathering via satellite link-up, as her schedule will not permit her to be in Sydney.

     London: 'Basic Instinct' beauty Sharon Stone has topped a new list of ageless Hollywood stars. According to Femalefirst, the actress beat Oscar winner Marisa Tomei and 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' actress Andie MaccDowell to grab the top spot in a US magazine 'In Touch'. Pak camel kids' nightmare comes to an end (Go To Top)

     Lahore: A batch of 86 Pakistan children working as camel jockeys in the UAE has come back to Pakistan, following a deal signed by the UAE, UNICEF, Pakistan's Ministry of Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistan's and the country's provincial Punjab government. The second batch of these 86 children, comes soon after the return of 22 such kids to Pakistan, last month. The children, all aged between four and 15, expressed the harrowing detail of their captivity and slavery, at the hands of the Bedouins in the UAE, who employed the kids as camel jockeys for almost no remuneration, and were relieved and happy to get back to their families. "We are extremely happy to get back to Pakistan and re-unite with our families. My parents were somehow separated from me after taking me abroad," The News quoted one of the children as saying. Parents and relatives have also heaved a sigh of relief upon getting back the children. "It is a matter of immense joy for the whole family upon seeing our children again," said Nazir Ahmad, grandfather of two brothers Imran, and Zeeshan, aged six and four, adding that previous attempts at getting back the children had all gone in vain. Beggy Bibi, a mother of two children Falak Sher and Farooq, aged nine and seven, said that relatives had "abducted" the children on the pretext of getting them education in some foreign country, adding that they were never informed about their whereabouts. "We haven't received a single penny if our children were employed as camel jockeys in UAE," she added. Earlier, a lot of hue and cry was raised in Pakistan, over the maltreatment meted out to Pakistani children employed as camel jockeys in the gulf nations. There were reports that not only were they beaten and given less food, but, were also made to work for long hours and given very little time to sleep.

Ringo Starr's bithplace saved from bulldozing (Go To Top)

     London: Former Beatles legend Ringo Starr's birthplace in Liverpool has won a stay of execution from bulldozers. According to the Sun, the house on Madryn Street, Dingle, was among 460 homes earmarked for demolition in a 54million pounds regeneration scheme. But Liverpool City Council decided to consult further about which houses to destroy. "Why are they knocking them down? They should do them up," Ringo said.

Jolie's parrot goes ballastic (Go To Top)

     London: Angelina Jolie might be in the news for her alleged affair with Brad Pitt, but now even her parrot is creating waves. According to Femalefirst, the parrot causes chaos at the store where she houses him, by staging hunger strikes and attacking customers. Jolie returns the African Grey to West Hollywood's Amazon Rainforest Shop, where she bought him, whenever she's out of the country. The parrot makes sure his temporary handlers know how upset he is with his mistress, by making sure that it has to be coaxed to eat, and acting aggressively towards customers.
