Paris Hilton's princess dreams come crashing down (Go To Top)

     London: Hotel Heiress Paris Hilton has reportedly been denied permission to marry in the same place as Princess Diana,with Church officials in London having declared her ineligible. Paris had declared recently that she wanted to walk down the aisle with fiance Paris Latsis in Britain's most important cathedral, St. Pauls. "I've got my heart set on a ceremony in St Paul's. I've always wanted to be a princess on my big day and only a wedding in England could make that happen", she was quoted as saying. However the Church authorities have ruled out any possibilities of accomodating the 24-year-old actress as the Church is open to only members of the royalty. "Only royalty can marry on the cathedral floor. You can't buy your way in, no matter how rich you are", Hello magazine quoted a representative as saying.

Tony Blair quit smoking 15 mins before marrying Cherie (Go To Top)

     London: UK Prime Minister Tony Blair has revealed that he quit smoking just minutes before his marriage to Cherie in 1980. "I gave up smoking 15 minutes before I got married...It was part of the bargain and I still think I made the right choice," the Mirror quoted Blair as saying. Blair, who was at the Red Lion pub in Trimdon - the first pub to go smoke-free in the village where he began his political career over two decades ago - said, "I remember the old Red Lion very, very well and I remember this exact corner. It is particularly special to me and I must say it is the first time I have opened a pub. It is the first Clean Air pub in Sedgefield and everyone should be proud of this."

LL Cool J to remake 'Fatal Attraction' (Go To Top)

     London: Actor James Todd Smith, better known as LL Cool J, is reportedly making an urban version of hit movie 'Fatal Attraction'. In the classic thriller, which had Michael Douglas and Glenn Close in its original version, Cool will play of a man who gets into serious trouble when he has an affair. "What we are looking to do with LL is to get high-quality material that will attract talent. We are not looking to develop gimmicks but make real movies. LL has a huge following and is very credible with women," the Sun quoted Michael Paseornek, president of production at Lions Gate studio, as saying.

Jolie's adoption leaves girls' grand ma heartbroken (Go To Top)

     Washington: Angelina Jolie might have adopted a new daughter out of maternal love, but if her grandmother is to be believed, Jolie took her away forcibly. According to Star magazine, the girl baby, Zahara is the granddaughter of Almaz Blfnhe who helped deliver her and cared for her after the death of her mother. "No woman wants to give away her own flesh and blood. Each day I would be in tears as I took her to the adoption office. They would send me away. But they eventually realized I did not have the money, and they took her from me and said they could give her a better life," Alma was quoted as saying. "All I ask is that one day Ms. Angelina could send me a picture of my granddaughter so I can remember her and those beautiful big brown eyes, they are just like my daughter's eyes," she added.

      Washington: If reports are to be believed, rap star Eminem is planning an early retirement. According to E!Online quoting the Detroit Free Press, sources have revealed that the rapper would play his last concert in Dublin on September 17, and 'Encore' will be his swan song, as he focuses on producing other rap artists. Eminem's longtime manager, Paul Rosenberg, however, told the paper that no final decision has been taken regarding the star's future plans.

Colin Farrell's seven figure sex tape surfaces (Go To Top)

     London: A man, known only as JJ, has claimed that he possesses a steamy home video allegedly made by Irish actor Colin Farrell and Playboy playmate Nicole Narain, who he had reportedly dated two years ago. According to America's New York Post newspaper, JJ has a 14- minute video showing naked Nicole poking out her pierced tongue and winking at the camera, while Colin reportedly says: "I could do this breakfast, lunch and dinner". The man is looking to sell the tape for a seven figure sum, but also admits that he would not be able to do so without Colin's permission.Colin and Nicole's publicists, however, could not be reached for comment, reports Femalefirst.

     New York: Talk-show queen Oprah Winfrey may add one more feather to her cap, with her fans starting a petition drive to get her nominated for the Noble Peace Prize. "We're just really impressed with what she has done to raise the level of consciousness about hunger, poverty, homelessness, women's issues and, of course, the issue of AIDS," the New York Daily News quoted Rocky Twyman, who is spearheading the effort, as saying. Oprah's fans are now planning to collect signatures in Times Square Monday. Twyman said that he wants to collect about 100,000 signatures by December in order to persuade Nobel laureates to nominate Winfrey.

     Washington: Sandra bullock is rumoured to have married her long time boyfriend Jesse James in a secret ceremony last night. According to Contactmusic, she hosted a lavish get-together in Santa Barbara, California at the exclusive Bacara resort. Photographers spotted huge tents being set up and hordes of guests later arriving at the venue in cocktail attire. However, Bullock insists no wedding took place and claims the celebration was held to mark her 41st birthday, which won't officially arrive until 26 July.

Britney to film baby's birth for TV show (Go To Top)

     London: Pop star Britney Spears, who is expecting her first baby with hubby Kevin Federline, reportedly wants to film the birth for a TV show. According to sources, the singer will show the video recording in a one-off sequel to her hit reality series 'Britney and Kevin: Chaotic'. "Britney was in two minds about the birth even after she'd decided to do a one-off special to introduce the little one to the world. It'll be a follow-up to the series and a great record for them," femalefirst quoted an insider as saying to the Daily Star. "It's just like the proud dad taping the event Cameras won't roll through the most intimate parts but there will be scenes included," the source added.
