Garner, Affleck prepare toxin-free world for their baby (Go To Top)

    Washington: The recently wedded couple, heart throb Ben Affleck and sultry actress Jennifer Garner, are taking every possible precaution to ensure that their new arrival is born into a toxin-free world. According to Contact music, the couple have hired a garden company, Bamboo Pipeline, to get rid of toxic plants from their Los Angeles garden, in favour of non-poisonous child friendly varieties. The duo, who are expecting their baby this fall, are currently shooting for the movie 'Catch and Release' in Canada.

Colin Farrell voted most eligible bachelor (Go To Top)

     Washington: Irish actor Colin Farrell has been voted the most eligible bachelor in a new poll conducted by a US magazine. According to Contactmusic.com, the 'Alexander' star is followed by Jesse Metcalfe, Orlando Bloom and George Clooney in the 'In Touch' list. 'Collateral' actor Jamie Foxx and 'R n B' singer Usher also feature in the list.

     London: Bond Girl Ursula Andress has been voted the top beach beauty in a new poll conducted by bottled water firm Evian. According to the Sun, she beat 'Celebrity Love Island' presenter Kelly Brook, Elle MacPherson and Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie to the top spot on the list. While, 'Catwoman' actress Halle Berry, Welsh singer Charlotte Church and Wayne Rooney's fianci Coleen McLoughlin also feature in the list, 'Baywatch' babe Pamela Anderson couldn't make it into the Top 20.

    Washington: 'Coldplay' star Chris Martin has been voted the world's sexiest vegetarian in the fifth annual poll for People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). While David Duchovny, Andre 3000 and Prince, who got the second, third and fourth places respectively, American Idol winner Carrie Underwood topped the poll in female category. She beat Avril Lavigne, Reese Witherspoon and Joss Stone. "He (Martin) is someone who exudes both passion and compassion. He's a big fan of so many social justice issues and he loves animals. Martin and his wife Gwyneth Paltrow are known for their love of vegan cuisine, and they made international headlines recently when they gave daughter Apple a vegan birthday cake from Moby's New York eatery Teany," Ratethemusic.com quoted PETA spokesman Michael McGraw as saying.

     London: Socialite Jemima Khan, who reportedly turned down Hugh Grant's marriage proposal last month, has reiterated that she doesn't want to marry the actor yet. According to sources, Jemima, who has two sons from former Pakistani cricketer Imran Khan, says that she is not ready to tie the knot again. "Unfortunately for Hugh she is still not over her marriage to Imran. It was a claustrophobic marriage - she was bored of continually having to fly to and from Pakistan and she is concerned that Hugh's jetset lifestyle would be too similar," the Daily Mail quoted a pal as saying. The 'Bridget Jones' actor started dating Jemima last year after splitting with actress Liz Hurley.

    London: JK Rowling might have hinted that she might one day write adult fiction, but at the same time she is angered by critics who suggest that she is "riled" by being seen as a children's author. "Absolute garbage! I have said many times that if I remain a children's author forever - which I may well do - I will never see this as being a lesser, easier or less 'serious' career than writing for adults," the scotsman quoted her as saying on her personal website. "Whenever I have discussed the possibility of writing adult fiction, it has nearly always been because an interviewer has asked 'might you one day write a book for adults?'," she added.

Daryl Hannah to quit movies to save the planet (Go To Top)

     London: Hollywood actress Daryl Hannah has said that she is quitting movies in order to devote her time to the protection of the environment. Hannah, who is trying to lead an eco-friendly lifestyle for many years, said that her latest film, 'Living Neon Dreams', would be her last. "Time has taught me to worry less about myself and be more compassionate about others' anxieties I am more focused on trying to save the planet and other living creatures than on my career at the moment," femalefirst quoted the actress as saying. "I live in a solar-powered house built with eco-friendly materials and things salvaged from a 19th century barn. I also drive a 100 per cent bio-diesel car I try to follow this ideal through all aspects of my life," she said.

    London: A German Magazine "Freizeit",has found a unique way to send its sales soaring... by offering free sex vouchers at a brothel in Austria! Every single copy of the issue was reportedly sold out in a day. According to Ananova, amazed readers found a coupon promising a half hour session of free sex with a woman of ones choice. However, not all were impressed with the nature and contents of the advertisement. "The magazine is supposed to be about leisure and entertainment activities, but I don't find paying women to have sex with them particularly entertaining. The advert is indecent and sexist", the report quoted a local woman as saying. However,the head of the Advertising section didn't find anything wrong with the add and retorted by saying that the advertisement was "in no way salacious neither in content nor visually", and accused complainants of "nitpicking".

David Beckham has a new hairstyle (Go To Top)

     London: Football star David Beckham, who is known for experimenting with his hair, has once again changed his hairstyle. The England Captain, who was in Beijing this week with his Real Madrid teammates, unveiled a longer style combed over to the side with not a spike in sight. According to the Mirror, even though his hairstyle was liked by fans, experts were divided on it. "I like what he is trying to do with his hair. At least he is trying to move on with this look. My stylist Adee Phelan and I had a chat about it and we thinks it looks cool," the paper quoted Paul Merritt, who created Beckham's Mohican for the 2002 World Cup, as saying. GMTV's stylist James Galvin, however, wasn't impressed by his new look, and said, " He has only gone wrong with his hair a couple of times, and this is one of them. It's mullety looking at the back and I don't like the difference in lengths between the sides and tops."
