Eminem in legal battle with US cable network (Go To Top)

     Washington: Rap star Eminem has been sued by a US cable network over failed plans for a televised concert. According to Rate the Music quoting Allhiphop.com, bosses at the Showtime Networks talked to Eminem for almost two years to set up a live concert on one of the network's pay channels, but the rapper failed to give them a final release date. The network has alleged that Eminem's inability to have a definite release date and his tour schedule prevented negotiations from taking place, following which they started a legal battle.

Beckham travels to US to promote his soccer academy (Go To Top)

     Washington: Real Madrid ace David Beckham recently visited the US to promote his new soccer academy there. David Beckham Soccer Academy, scheduled to open this autumn in Southern California, will give youngsters an opportunity to sharpen their skills in football. "It will give children the chance to get off the streets and have fun and believe in their ability. Kids are my life," Rate the Music quoted Beckham as saying.

Brittany Murphy's best kiss was with Witherspoon (Go To Top)

     London: Hollywood star Brittany Murphy has said that her best kiss was with co-star Reese Witherspoon in Matthew Bright's film 'Freeway'. The actress, who has kissed many actors till date, said that she particularly enjoyed her lesbian kiss in the 1996 movie. "I've been fortunate with the gentlemen I've kissed for work. Though I will admit that my most memorable onscreen kiss was with Reese Witherspoon in Freeway, just because we were laughing so much," femalefirst quoted Murphy as saying to Maxim magazine.

     Washington: Paris Hilton's best friend Kimberly Stewart has accidentally revealed that the hotel heiress is planning to wed beau Paris Latsis this summer. Hilton, who has been dating the Greek shipping heir for last eight months, had tried her level best to conceal her wedding date, but Stewart's revelations has put cold water on her wishes. According to Contactmusic, Stewart told reporters for US TV show Extra that the two will walk down the aisle this summer, before realising her error and quickly adding, "I'm not saying anything. Mom's the word."

Russell urges wife to live a rural life (Go To Top)

     London: Russell Crowe has requested his wife to move to Australia to his farm to raise their son in the wilderness. Even at the time of their marriage in 2003, Crowe had preferred marrying Danielle Spencer,the actress, at his much-cherished 800- acre farm in New South Wales. Later on, in the month of December of the same year, the couple had a child, Charles. But the oscar-winning Crowe felt disappointed when his wife looked disinclined towards beginning a new life in "the bush" with him. "My wife's not a farm person. Basically, I thought we were going to live on the farm but as soon as she got pregnant, Dani didn't want to be out in the bush, away from hospitals and doctors - which is totally reasonable,"Contact Music quoted Russell as saying. "As Charlie gets older, Dani is probably going to have to face the fact that he'll want to be at the farm," he added. "But at the moment, while she has a lot of work to work upon and she's recording an album, it's just impractical for her to be out in the bush, Russell said. "So we've living in Sydney and I'm working on Charlie everyday, so that he'll start working on her", he concluded.

     London: Angelina Jolie is certainly not a daddy's girl. For to her, her estranged father is no more important than a stranger on the street. "It doesn't make me feel sad at all.      Washington: Nicole Kidman is not shocked at the sight of blood and gore in operating theatres because her parents made her watch medical documentaries as a child. According to contact music, she was raised with an extensive knowledge of all things medical because their father worked as a biochemist and clinical psychologist, while their mother earned her living as a nursing instructor. "I grew up in a medical family so I was shown medical films from an early age... My parents would show us films on operations... and my sister and I would be like, 'Is it over yet?' So it doesn't gross us out, a lot of those extreme things," Kidman was quoted as saying.
