     London: Jennifer Aniston has turned to Buddhism to help her get over her split from ex-husband Brad Pitt. According to Femalefirst, she is said to be so devoted to the religion she has even built a meditation room in her Malibu mansion and has filled her home with Buddha statues. Jennifer is also reportedly taking classes in Los Angeles to educate herself on the finer points of the ancient Eastern faith. "Splitting up with Brad left a huge hole in her life She was looking for a way to find comfort without turning to booze or drugs," an insider was quted as saying.

Sixth Potter book sales set to beat all records (Go To Top)

     London: Harry Potter books might be a craze with children, and it seems that the new Harry Potter book is set to be the biggest seller yet. According to The Sun, one copy of Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince was being reserved every 53 seconds when internet sales opened. While Tesco.com expects demand to double as the sixth boy wizard book gets nearer its July 16 release date. Director John Paul O'Reilly said pre-orders were at an all-time high. "The magic is definitely still there," he was quoted as saying.

Fans make beeline for historic Live 8 concert (Go To Top)

     Washington: The text message lottery to be held at the Live 8 Concert in London has already attracted more than 1.5 million entries from British music fans who wish to be present at the historic music concert. About 150,000 tickets have been made available. There are no restrictions on the number of times one can participate, with participants paying 2.85 dollars each time they play for the contest. A computer will later take out 72,500 random entries and each of the winners will win tickets to the Live 8 concert and get to enjoy the superb performances by Coldplay, Sir Paul McCartney, U2, Eminem, Sir Elton John and Rem. The first 3 million dollars raised by the text lottery will be donated to organizations like 'The Prince's Trust' and 'Help a London'. The remaining funds will go towards the cost of staging such a huge concert as well as to another organization 'Band Aid Trust'. "Bob's delighted. I've just told him and he said, 'It's great'", Ratethemusic.com quoted the spokesperson for Sir Bob Gedolf as saying.

Russell Crowe arrested for assault (Go To Top)

     Washington: Oscar winner Russell Crowe, the actor with a combustible mix of temper, bad-boy image and a new film to promote, has been arrested on assault charges at the Mercer Hotel in SoHo yesterday morning, for striking a desk clerk with a telephone because he could not get a call through to his wife in Australia. According to Eonline, the New York Police have lodged a complaint against Crowe for hurling and hitting the hotel employee in the face and causing a laceration and substantial pain after he was unable to put a call through to the actor's wife Danielle Spencer in Australia. Mr Crowe was taken into custody and charged with second-degree assault after the incident. Crowe is expected to appear at Manhattan Criminal Court later in the day.

     London: Angelina Jolie might have denied all rumours linking her and Brad Pitt but they share a good work relatonship if Jolie is to be believed. "The chemistry we had on set was natural. We did work together surprisingly well. I did not know before we met if we would work together well, but we had a great time," the mirror quoted Jolie as saying.

Jolie and Pitt get action into 'Mr. And Mrs. Smith'! (Go To Top)

     Washington: Hollywood actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had reportedly forced movie bosses to convert their new film 'Mr And Mrs Smith' from a comedy into an action movie. The two had so much fun filming the movie that they were constantly asking for more stunts, turning it into a personal competition, reports Conatctmusic.com. "(The film) was written very much as a comedy and there was a little bit of action in it. The stunt coordinator was the stunt coordinator that did the Tomb Raiders and also did Troy. So this person came in to do these little action sequences that were written on half a page and realised that the two people who were working on the film loved action, so suddenly this two day action scene became a three week thing where we were saying, 'Why do you have a slide? I don't have a slide across the floor! And I wanna scale down and I wanna go through the glass", Jolie was quoted as saying.

Angelina vows to sue if journos ask about personal life (Go To Top)

     London: Angelina Jolie has threatened to sue any reporter who breaks the terms of her interview contract and asks her questions about her personal life. According to Fox News, journalists interviewing the sexy actress about Mr and Mrs Smith in which she stars with her unlover Brad Pitt, will have to sign a contract before the interviews agreeing not to ask any questions about her personal relationships. "Interviewer will not ask Ms. Jolie any questions regarding her personal relationships. In the event Interviewer does ask Ms. Jolie any questions regarding her personal relationships, Ms. Jolie will have the right to immediately terminate the interview and leave," reads the document.

     Washington: Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has reportedly attacked TV show host Ann Curry for showing viewers a copy of US Weekly magazine, which featured her Kenyan beach stroll with Brad Pitt and son Maddox. "You bought it, you're holding it... The fact is its part of your programme. It's something that we're talking about still," Contactmusic quoted Jolie as saying. The actress, who has put a ban on reporters asking her about her alleged romance with Pitt, was upset to see her photograph on the show. She continued to insist that her Kenyan holiday meant a lot to her. "That day needs to forever be a day that I made a sandcastle with my son," she said.

      Washington: One needs to pay a huge price for entering the Kabbalah community, it seems. Sir Mick Jaggers interest in this community was cut short when religious leaders asked for 10 per cent of his earnings as a price for letting him enter their close knit community. A similar attitude had greeted pop star Madonna and super model Demi Moore. Angelina Jolie feared her adopted son had narcolepsy (Go To Top)

      Washington: Angelina Jolie had feared that her adopted son Maddox was suffering from narcolepsy because he slept too much. The Oscar winning actress, who adopted the baby in 2002, said that initially she was too much worried about his health, as he was asleep throughout the time she spent him, even when given a bath. "Mad was the last person I saw (at the orphanage). He was three months old and he was asleep. They put him in my arms and he stayed asleep and then they put him in the bath and he stayed asleep and I thought he was narcoleptic or something", Contactmusic.com quoted her as saying. Jolie also confessed that she knew immediately that Maddox would be her child as her stared at her for the longest time and also felt comfortable with her, unlike other babies.

Katie Holmes may play Tom Cruise's 'Wonder Woman' (Go To Top)

     Washington: If rumours are to be believed, Katie Holmes may act opposite her beau Tom Cruise in Josh Whedon's movie adaptation of 'Wonder Woman'. According to Contactmusic quoting website Movieline.net, the former 'Dawson's Creek' actress is among the long list of actresses who have been competing for the title role in the film. While Jessica Biel, Kim Basinger and Charisma Carpenter are also rumoured to be vying for the role, Holmes is very excited at her prospects of playing the part. "I was part of the majority of little girls that loved Wonder Woman," the report quoted her as saying.
