     London: Liz Hurley wants a Hindu wedding, and she is all set to wed Arun Nayar in February in a traditional Indian ceremony, wearing a red sari and arriving on the back of an elephant. According to The Mirror, she has reportedly told close friends and relatives to keep a month free for the lavish do in Rajasthan. "Liz has made up her mind that she wants an Indian princess-style wedding. She loves the colourful traditions of the country and wants to embrace them. She is very keen to involve elephants in some way and hopes to arrive on one - but it depends on logistics and whether it actually fits in with the ceremony," an insider was quoted as saying. "Her plans are very much in the early stages but she has a very clear idea of what she wants. It will be a spectacular affair with no expense spared to show the world how much she loves Arun," the insider added.

Sharon Stone gets into Public Relations (Go To Top)

     Washington: 'Basic Instinct' actress Sharon Stone has inked a deal to star in the Showtime series 'Huff'. According to Zap2It, Stone, who plays a powerful PR executive in the production, will appear in at least two episodes of the series' second season. Filming for the project, which also stars Hank Azaria, Paget Brewster, Blythe Danner, Anton Yelchin and Andy Comeau, is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks for a 2006 premiere. Stone had won an Emmy last year for her role as an unbalanced attorney in 'The Practice'.

Tom Cruise becomes Posh's Hollywood guru (Go To Top)

     London: Hollywood hunk Tom Cruise believes that former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham has the potential of becoming a Hollywood star. According to Grazia magazine, Tom told Victoria, "You could be a fantastic actress. You are witty, have great comic timing and a fantastic accent. You have great potential to be a huge Hollywood star." According to a friend of Victoria, Tom revealed his plans during a dinner date with David Beckham and Tom's new love Katie Holmes at Tom's home in Beverly Hills. "Tom told Victoria he could make her a star and she just couldn't believe it. She was telling David how excited she was and how that would be a dream come true," a source was quoted by Annaova, as saying. "Victoria has always been extremely ambitious and she doesn't see why this couldn't be the next step in her career," he added. Tom also reportedly plans to set up meetings in the movie industry to help launch her career.

Harry Potter wants to be an orphan (Go To Top)

     Washington: Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, is planning to venture outside the boy wizard movies, and star in "December Boys," an independent film set to be shot in Australia. Based on the young adult novel by Michael Noonan, "December Boys" focuses on a group of orphans whose seaside vacation becomes competitive with the news that one of them may be on the verge of adoption. According to Zap2it, the project, set in Australian in the 1960s, has been in development for some time, with veteran television director Rod Hardy ("Battlestar Galactica," "The Practice") at the helm. Richard Becker of the Becker Group is producing the script from Marc Rosenberg. Paz Vega "We'd be happy for Daniel to play an English orphan because the reality was that there were a lot of them in Australia following the war and during the '60s," Becker was quoted as saying in The Hollywood Reporter.

Aniston, Hilton make it to Forbes celebrity list (Go To Top)

     London: Jennifer Aniston has made it on to Forbes 2005 Celebrity 100 List alongside Desperate Housewives stars Teri Hatcher and Marcia Cross. According to Fox news, others include Paris Hilton, Jessica and Ashlee Simpson and Hollywood's best-known twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. The list reveals the popular celebs in the past year. "If you're off the list it doesn't mean you're not a star any more, but it may mean that your stock has gone down a bit. The list is our attempt to measure not only who's getting paid but how many people are paying attention to celebrities," Forbes writer Peter Kafka was quoted as saying.

Cruise says his love for Katie no publicity stunt (Go To Top)

     London: Hollywood hunk Tom Cruise has slammed media reports, which claim that his relationship with Katie Holmes is a stunt. A recent magazine poll in the US showed 60 percent of those surveyed believed the affair is being staged to help promote their films. Tom is currently promoting War of the Worlds, while Katie stars in Batman Begins reports the BBC. "I have to laugh. It's just ridiculous. Something magnificent has happened to me and something extraordinary, and I'm so happy I just can't restrain myself," Cruise was quoted by Ananova as saying.

     New York: Tom Cruise might be going out with Katie Holmes but Nicole Kidman is reportedly dating a new mystery man, if rumours are to be believed. She was recently seen with him at Los Angeles' Beverly Hills Hotel. "He's a well-muscled, handsome guy who said his name was Mike. They went jogging every morning. Then you'd see them in the coffee shop and around the pool," New York Daily News quoted an insider as saying. "Do you go out with your trainer or bodyguard to dinner every night? They were in the Polo Lounge one night after another. They looked very intimate," the insider added.

New Richard Curtis film to be screened on June 24 (Go To Top)

     London: "Four Weddings and a Funeral" and "Bridget Jones' Diary" director Richard Curtis latest flick titled "The Girl in the Cafe" will be specially screened at The Electric Cinema on June 24. Curtis' latest movie is a romantic drama with the unlikely setting of the G-8 Summit. The drama centres around a member of the government's political team and is directed by David Yates who directed 'State of Play' and also stars Bill Nighy and Kelly Macdonald. The film will be shown on BBC1 in the week preceding the G-8 - and on HBO three times that week. It's also being broadcast in almost every other G-8 country before the summit.CNN is making a one hour documentary about the film to be shown all over the world.

World's longest marriage finally ends (Go To Top)

     London: A 105-year old man, who recently made it to the Guinness Book of World Records for having the longest marriage in history, has died peacefully with his 100 year old wife by his side at their home in Hereford. Percy and Florence Arrowsmith had celebrated their 80th wedding anniversary two weeks ago. "Percy and Flo were very happy when I saw them on their anniversary. They were still very much in love with each other. They have been church-goers all their life, and I am sure the family will find comfort in their Christian faith. We will all be praying for Flo and the family in their grief," Scotsman quoted the Bishop of Hereford, Rt Rev Anthony Priddis, as saying.

Clinton's 'full n final settlement' with Monica Lewinsky (Go To Top)

     Washington: Former US President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary Clinton have finally paid off the millions of dollars in legal bills from investigations into the failed Whitewater land deal and Monica Lewinsky sex scandal, Sen. Clinton's financial filings showed. "They are both pleased that it's been paid," the New York Daily News quoted Jim Kennedy, a spokesman for the former first citizen of the US, as saying. The annual financial disclosure statement for 2004 also showed that the Clintons are getting richer year by year. In 2004, while Bill earned nearly 875,000 dollars from speaking and payments from his book 'My Life', his wife pulled down around 2.4 million dollars from her memoir 'Living History'. The filing shows the couple now has between 10 million to 50 million dollars socked away in the bank and investments. When the Clintons left the White House in January 2001, they owed several million dollars in legal fees. They reported owing between 1.7 million to 6.5 million dollars at the close of 2002, and from 500,000 and 1 million dollars at the end of 2003.

     London: Pop Star Britney Spears was left completely abashed when she invited the Disney bosses to her hotel room and found husband Kevin Federline watching porn. Both Britney and Kevin had been invited to celebrate the resort's 50th anniversary. 23 year old Britney, who is expecting her first child soon, did not know where to look after Kevin had left the video running but quickly recovered her wits thereafter. "Boys will be boys", Femalefirst quoted her as saying. "Honey, you didn't tell me you'd brought along Sleeping Booty!", she added.

Chris Rock would love to nip at J-Lo's butt (Go To Top)

     London: American comic Chris Rock has confessed that he would love to be a dog in his next birth so he could nip Latino singer Jennifer Lopez's butt. The funnyman,who stars as a zebra in new animated movie Madagascar - said he would go after the sexy diva if he was reincarnated. "If I could come back as any animal I'd like to be a cocker spaniel and bite J-Lo on the arse," he was quoted by the Sun, as saying. Chris was in London this week to promote the flick in which he stars alongside Ben Stiller, David Shwimmer and Jada Pinkett Smith.
