ER star joins James Bond race

     London: ER star, Goran Visnjic, will reportedly screen test for Bond's role in the next James Bond movie, 'Casino Royale', in London next week. Casino Royale, to be directed by Martin Campbell, is expected to release in 2006, reports Fox News. The 32 year old actor, who had played Dr. Luka Kovac in the medical series, faces competition from Clive Owen and Daniel Craig, who have also been recently linked to the role.

Pregnant Britney may bare all for Vanity Fair (Go To Top)

     London: Pop star, and now mother-to be Britney Spears, is currently negotiating with the magazine, Vanity Fair, to pose naked just weeks before giving birth to her baby. Vanity Fair, which had previously shot Demi More during her pregnancy, hopes to shoot the 23-year-old singer in her seventh month so that the latest issue can hit the newsstands before she gives birth. "Britney desperately wants to do it and knows she has to stay in good shape. Britney loves being pregnant and she loves her new body", Fox News quoted a source as telling Life & Style magazine.

Arnie prays kids will teach him English (Go To Top)

    Washington: Californian Governor and former Hollywood actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger is upset that his daughters, Katherine, 15, and Christina, 14, have given up their summer vacation to travel to South America and Fiji to help teach other children to perfect their English, instead of helping him. Austrian born Arnold feels that his daughters could have stayed at home too. "I don't know why they don't stay home and help me", Contactmusic.com quoted him as saying.

Diana and JFK Jr's night of passion revealed (Go To Top)

     Washington: A forthcoming book by Diana's friend and clairvoyant Simone Simmons is all set to reveal that she enjoyed a brief romance with John F Kennedy Jnr. According to contact music, the book titled Diana: The Last Word, Simmons reveals that she was shocked to hear Diana's alleged confession that she had slept with Kennedy Jnr in New York City's Carlyle Hotel in 1995. "Diana had met him when he was trying to persuade her to give an interview to his magazine George. She turned down the request for the interview, but agreed to meet him in her suite at the Carlyle Hotel," Simmons is quoted as saying in an extract from the book. "She told me, 'We started talking, one thing led to another - and we ended up in bed together. It was pure chemistry.' He made her feel desirable, wanton and very womanly. It was, she admitted, a moment of pure lust - the only time in her life that she had succumbed in that way," she added. After Simmons told Diana to stop joking, the princess replied, "No, I'm not. It happened. And he was an amazing lover - a ten, the tops." "Being Diana, she naturally wanted to take the relationship further. For a short while they stayed in touch: she telephoned and they had long chats. She had more love to give than any men could take and when it came down it, I think he found her too needy.      London: Pop superstar Madonna has confessed that she is very keen for a third child with husband Guy Ritchie, but does not want to take any artificial steps towards expanding her family. "Look, everybody has made a big deal about me wanting more children. And yes, it would be nice. But my attitude and my husband's attitude is that if we have more, then we do and if we don't, we don't. We have two amazing children. I couldn't feel more blessed than I already do", Fox News quoted her as saying. The singer, who has two children, daughter Lourdes from a previous relationship, and a son, Rocco, from her marriage to Guy, admits that parenthood has changed her outlook towards life and made her less selfish. "I've certainly changed. I never thought this would happen to me And believe me, the change is really quite recent I think it really started when I became a mother and that is the first time you really have to learn about putting someone else first. I spent 15 years of my life just thinking about everything from the point of view: 'What's in it for me?", she was quoted as telling Britain's Grazia magazine.

     London: Football star David Beckham, known for his liking for expensive jewellery, possesses a very special item in his collection- a necklace blessed by the late Pope John Paul II. The religious chain, allegedly touched by the late John Paul II, was given to his wife Victoria at a promotion for her jeans range in trendy Los Angeles' store, Kitson, who later gave it to her husband. The cloth pendant, which features a crucifix on the front, was given to Victoria, as a gift from one of the designer shop's sales assistants. "A guy called Max took it off his neck and gave it to me. It's so special because his mum's an usher in the church and she had it blessed by Pope John Paul II before he died I am overwhelmed", Femalefirst quoted Victoria as saying.

Nicole Kidman doesn't believe in love at first sight (Go To Top)

     London: Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman, who split with 'Mission Impossible' star Tom Cruise in 2001, has said that she doesn't believe in love at first sight. Hollywood star Sir Michael Caine, however, disagrees with the Oscar-winning actress and said that he fell in love with his wife Shakira when he first saw her on TV. But, according to Kidman, true love can only occur when two people know each other. "I think you've got to get to know somebody. My personality is a little more shy and I tend to need to be drawn out. Michael Caine would say that he believed in love at first sight because he saw his wife on a TV screen and said: 'That's the woman for me!'" femalefirst quoted her as saying.

Brad Pitt becomes the boss (Go To Top)

     Washington: Brad Pitt is all set to take independent charge of production company, Plan B that was originally formed by Pitt, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Grey in 2002, reports Eonline. Pitt has signed a first-look deal with Paramount Pictures that is run by Brad Grey, who was an original partner in Plan B. "Having great respect for Brad's vision, we're excited for this opportunity to continue building our company in partnership with him and his team at Paramount," Pitt was quoted as saying. Aniston will no longer be a principal in the production company but she will still be involved in a number of projects that Plan B had previously set up with Warner Bros., publicist Stephen Huvane confirmed.

David Beckham in tattoo fight (Go To Top)

    London: David Beckham is being sued by body artist Louis Molloy over the rights to his tattoos. According to The Mirror, Molloy who created nine of Beckham's tattoos, claims he owns the copyright. He has threatened to sue Becks and wife Victoria if they go ahead with plans to use the images in an ad campaign. He also revealed the couple tried to force him to sign a confidentiality agreement, but he refused. "They were under the impression that they owned those images but they don't. I was contacted recently and told they wanted to use some of them in a campaign. I said we'd have to draw up a licence agreement but then it got too complicated," Molloy said. "So I said 'I own the copyright, they are my intellectual property, I drew them, I didn't copy them from other sources'. They still think they're the owners of the images but if they use them without my permission I'd sue. There's no doubt about it," he added.

     Washington: Coming from a broken home has made Angelina Jolie the self-sufficient woman she is today, if she is to be believed. According to Femalefirst, her parents split when she was just three she had infrequent contact with her dad after the divorce. "I don't know if my childhood was any worse that anyone else's But it is disturbing and sad when you see one parent figure not respecting the other That probably had a great effect on me wanting to be self-sufficient," she was quoted as saying. "I was raised feeling that I didn't want the ground to be taken away from me, and so by the age of 14 I was already working I didn't want to ask for help from anybody, and that extended into my own marriages," she added.

Liz Hurley to host TV show for fashion wannabes (Go To Top)

     London: Elizabeth Hurley is all set to make her debut on TV by hosting a show for promising fashion designers and models. In the programme titled 'Project Catwalk', to be screened on Sky One in 2006, while 12 budding designers will get an opportunity to enter the fashion industry, the same number of models will compete to become their muses. According to the Mirror, the competition would be on a knockout basis and only three contestations will remain in the end. The remaining participants will then display their range during London Fashion Week in February next year. The winning designer's clothes will be shot for a top magazine and they will also get financial help to launch their own fashion line. "The fledgling designers will be put through their paces and have advice and help from the very best the industry has to offer. The models will get a real insight into the business. I am genuinely excited at the prospect of being part of the launch of a hot new UK designer," the paper quoted Hurley as saying.
