     London: Former 'James Bond' star Pierce Brosnan is reportedly so fed up with American food that he is planning to open an Indian restaurant in Los Angeles. According to Femalefirst, the Irish actor is frantically searching in India for a chef worthy of cooking at the Indian restaurant he plans to open later this year. "He's shopping around for a chef. He's gone all the way to Mumbai, India, to find one. He thinks it's time that LA had some quality Indian food. And Pierce likes it hot," the report quoted a source as saying.

Jamelia to be James Bond's girl (Go To Top)

     London: British singer Jamelia has reportedly won the race to become the next Bond girl in "Casino Royal", the 21st Bond movie. According to The Daily Star, Jamelia beat off competition from the likes of glamour model Victoria Silverstedt and Australian singer Holly Valance to get the coveted role. "Jamelia is perfect. She has a huge appeal with all ages and, boy, is she talented! She's not only a gifted singer, but also a very good actress", the report quoted an insider as saying.

'There's no bloody room' for guests at Charles' wedding (Go To Top)

     London: Prince Charles seems to be in no mood to dole out invitations for his upcoming wedding to Camilla Parker Bowles. According to Daily Mail, Charles is on a five-day stay in Australia. He visited the Government House in Canberra where an Australian Vietnam war veteran asked him if he could attend his wedding. "There's no bloody room ... there's not enough bloody room," The Prince was quoted as saying. During his stay, the Prince is set to go to a Sunday morning church service, visit an albatross nesting colony, attend a theatre play based on South Pacific culture, among other engagements.

Bullock and Judd were first choices for 'Million Dollar Baby' (Go To Top)

     New York: Sandra Bullock and Ashely Judd might be envying Hilary Swank, as the Best Actress Oscar award she got for 'Million Dollar Baby', could have gone to them, had they not refused to play the role. According to news reports, producer Albert S Ruddy's first choice to play the role of a tragic female boxer was Bullock, who turned down the proposal after being told that she could not pick the director. Ruddy then approached Judd, but she demanded a huge amount to play the role. The producer, therefore, finally settled on Swank. Interestingly, Bullock's agent then called Ruddy and said that the actress was ready to do the film. "But, Al just said, 'Too late,'" Pagesix.com quoted a source as saying.

     London: Star singer Jennifer Lopez says she loves being dominated by husband Marc Anthony and believes it to be the secret to their marital success. According to reports, Marc Anthony is so domineering, that he even selects her wardrobe and directs her on her events and speeches. The celebrity couple, who have been married for six months, reportedly have an extremely fiery relationship, which J.Lo brands 'Calienteb' meaning hot in Spanish. "Their sex life is amazing. It's not an easy romance, it is a real-life marriage between two very hot-tempered people", Femalefirst quoted a friend as saying. While Jennifer recently revealed: " There's never a dull moment with him. He makes me mad, he makes me laugh, he infuriates me, he excites me."

     According to the report, people close to the singer-cum-actress say, her previous lover, Hollywood star Ben Affleck was too weak for her and their relationship fell apart because she was the stronger among the two while she likes being told what to do. "Ben was weak in that regard. She could run roughshod all over him. Ben let her have her way on everything and, the next thing he knew, she was done with him. You can't get complacent with a woman like JLo. You have to stay on your game, because she is always on hers ", a friend was quoted as saying. "There was no spark with Ben, and I am not talking about sex. She needs that friction, that sort of butting of heads with a man that keeps her on her toes", she added. Meanwhile, J Lo admits she has become paranoid about keeping her married life very private from the public eye and she blames her break-up to former lover, Ben Affleck, on having their relationship bared to the media.      London: Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony who recently confirmed their marriage before the media, have reportedly now purchased their dream house worth 3.5 million pounds. The duo's new Tuscan-style residence in Bel Air in Los Angeles comprises of five bedrooms with attached baths and a swimmimg pool. According to the Sun, they have also arranged for a round- the-clock security system to guard their newly acquired villa.

Tom Cruise's flu cost Spielberg 60,000 dollars (Go To Top)

     New York: Hollywood heartthrob Tom Cruise cost Steven Spielberg more than 60,000 dollars when he fell ill with the flu during shooting for the director's highly anticipated movie 'War of the Worlds'. According to the New York Post, the filming for the movie, now wrapping up in Canyon County, was halted for two days because of Cruise's illness. More than 200 extras were already on the set when a message came that the actor was sick and wouldn't be showing up for the shooting. Even though the background actors got the day off, Spielberg's production company will reportedly pay the more than 60 grand owed to the extras.

Sandra cuts out love interest in 'Miss Congeniality' sequel (Go To Top)

     Washington: Sandra Bullock has won her war with Warner Bros. by ensuring that that the sequel to 'Miss Congeniality', would not see her in a romantic relationship with her co-stars. In the original 2000 hit, Sandra played an undercover agent who entered a beauty pageant and fell for a fellow agent. But unlike that version, 'Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous' is more of a female buddy comedy, co-starring Regina King, who plays a tough cop. "It's a testament to Sandy and the fact that she's a hands-on producer that she won her fight with Warner Brothers. She said we could do it without falling for a guy. She fought for that to the end," Zap2it quoted King as saying.

Even six-year-old girls are obsessed with slimness (Go To Top)

    London: Girls as old as six are also fussy about their bodies and want to be slimmer, a new study reveals. Researchers from the Flinders University of South Australia interviewed girls aged five to eight and found that 47 percent wanted to be slimmer, with most of them under the impression that that would make them more popular. "Eating disorders have been recorded in children as young as eight, and there may have been instances in children of an even younger age," BBC quoted a spokesman for the UK's Eating Disorders Association as saying. The participants were asked about dieting, what they thought about their peers' level of body dissatisfaction, and how much body shape was accepted amongst the girls they knew. Forty-five percent girls admitted that they would diet if they gained weight, with most of them thinking that being thin would increase likeability. "Previously, research has focused on adolescence as the likely time for the emergence of body dissatisfaction. However, clear evidence has accumulated that a substantial number of pre- adolescent girls are dissatisfied with their bodies and wish to be thinner," the report quoted lead researcher, Hayley Dohnt, as saying.

     London: Ex-Spice girl Victoria Beckham is reportedly ready to shed her baby pounds by following Elizabeth Hurley's one meal a day diet. According to Closer magazine , Victoria is so desperate to lose her weight which she gained during her pregnancy ,she is even ignoring the doctor's advice to follow her pals controversial diet. "Liz spoke to Victoria about how she lost her weight after having Damian. She passed on tips, like not eating carbs after 5pm and only having one meal a day." Femalefirst quoted a close friend as saying to the magazine. Doctors had earlier warned that the diet could induce bone and muscle wasting conditions and reduce chances of conception.

     Washington: Vin Diesel's family friendly comedy "The Pacifier" put the chill on John Travolta's "Be Cool" with an estimated $30.2 million , winning the top spot at the theatres over the weekend.
