India dumps Yuvraj, Nehra for Mohali Test

Mohali: India on Monday left out middle-order batsman Yuvraj Singh and left-arm seamer Ashish Nehra from the team for the first cricket Test against Pakistan starting here tomorrow. Indian captain Sourav Ganguly made the announcement here which meant that either off-spinner Harbhajan Singh or seamer Laxmipathy Balaji would be picked in the final XI. The captain's decision must have come as a disappointment for Yuvraj as well as Nehra since both the players were in fine form in recent times. Yuvraj played crucial roles in North Zone winning the Deodhar Trophy as well as qualifying for the final of the ongoing Duleep Trophy. Nehra had his share of contribution in North's success this season.

Gold embossed special coin for Mohali toss (Go To Top)

Islamabad: Following the euphoria generated over the much hyped first Indo-Pak Test match of the series at Mohali, the Punjab Cricket Association has decided to make the series a memorable one by using a special golden coin for the toss. According to the Dawn, the special gold coin will be embossed with the PCA logo on one side and the Indo-Pak series emblem on the other side. Officials are now only keenly awaiting whether to see Saurav or Inzamam will strike gold first.
