      Washington: Former Beatle star, John Lennon' s T-shirt has been put up for auction in London and is expected to generate thousands. The black T-shirt has the word of the star's most famous solo hit album, 'Imagine'imprinted on it. According to Femalefirst,Christie's are convinced that the T- shirt would generate frenzied bidding and expect that it would fetch upto $9,500.

Nicole Kidman takes on smoking hands on (Go To Top)

     Washington: Nicole Kidman has started smoking herbal versions in her ongoing battle to rid her of her addiction to cigarettes. The 'Birth' actress says that though she is determined to win her battle against smoking, she admits that she wouldn't know what to do with her hands once she kicked her habit . "I have tried and tried and I am almost there now.""But I still need something to do with my hands," Femalefirst quoted her as saying.

J Lo regrets shunning her mom's marriage advice (Go To Top)

     London: Pop star diva Jennifer Lopez says, she regrets not taking her mother's advice over choosing her life partners that may have resulted in the failure of her two marriages. Her mother Guadalupe had advised her to take time before entering into any relationship but Lopez says that the quest for fame led her to ignore her advice. "Be friends first and then you can see whether you want to spend the rest of your life together", Female First quoted her as recalling what her mother had told her. "I should've taken more notice, but I lost my way a little. This business takes over and you don't think straight", she added.

Prince Harry all set to join the army (Go To Top)

     London: Prince Harry might have been rumoured not to be serious to enrol for the army but he is all set to enrol as a trainee Army officer at Sandhurst from next week. According to Daily Mail, Clarence House has confirmed that he will report for duty and will be accompanied by his father, the Prince of Wales. He will be addressed as Officer Cadet Windsor and will get an annual salary of 18,500 pounds along with taking in new military skills, firing weapons and learning to give orders. Royal sources revealed that Harry plans a number of training runs in the next few days to ensure he is prepared for the tough physical challenges he faces at the Royal Military Academy.

The Hitchhiker's Guide rules the box office (Go To Top)

     Washington: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy has topped the charts at the US box office leaving the Nicole Kidman starrer, The Interpreter in the second place. According to Eonline, the movie garnered 13.7 million dollars as per studio estimates debuting in 3,133 theatres.. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was directed by Garth Jennings and stars Martin Freeman (from the British version of The Office) as Earth survivor Arthur Dent. The Interpreter came second with earnings of 14.2 million dollars.

     The estimates for the top 10 films, according to Exhibitor Relations: 1. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, 21.7 million dollars 2. The Interpreter, 14.2 million dollars 3. Jolie may dump acting for full-time motherhood (Go To Top)

     Washington: Angelina Jolie may quit the film industry to become a full time mother. The 'Tomb Raider' actress has reportedly told her friends that she "doesn't need the money or the hassle"and wants to keep her three-year old son, Maddox, away from the Hollywood lifestyle. "She wants to do more work and spend time with her son so she'll at least take a long break," Fox news quoted a source as saying to news of the world.

Scientists develop the 'Viagra' condom (Go To Top)

     London: Scientists at Futura Medical, based in Guildford, Surrey have come up with a condom that keeps men aroused in bed and could soon go on sale in Britain. According to The Sun, the contraceptive holds a chemical which increases blood flow and is currently known as the "condom safety device" CSD500. "Research shows at least two per cent of condoms slip off during intercourse. A major reason is that at times men don't remain fully aroused. Around 13 billion condoms are used each year, so there's a lot of scope for unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections." Chief executive James Barder was quoted as saying.
