Madonna using Ayurveda to conceive for the third time (Go To Top)

     London: If rumours are to be believed, Madonna is using old Indian fertility remedies to try for a third child at the age of 46. According to The Mirror, she hopes a stash of Ayurvedic medicines will help her conceive. "Tablets were sent over from India to her. They are supposed to increase potency. They looked like horse tablets - they were just so huge," an insider was quoted as saying. Her husband Guy Ritchie has also had the pills to boost the couple's chances of having a baby.

Paris Hilton goes on a nine-hour boozing spree in Cannes (Go To Top)

London: Paris Hilton went on an unusually long boozing spree in Cannes, where she is promoting her latest film. "She and her pals started drinking on a yacht at 6pm. Then they moved on to a few other swish drinking holes. By 2.30am they were still up for a party so they headed to the du Cap, where Hollywood stars such as Val Kilmer are staying," The Mirror quoted an insider as saying.

Sharon Stone adopts another baby (Go To Top)

     London: 'Basic Instinct' actress Sharon Stone, who adopted a baby four years ago, has become a mother for the second time by adopting another baby. The actress and her elder son are delighted to have a new member in their family. Sharon reportedly rushed home from London when the infant, who will be called Laird Vonne Stone, was born to a surrogate mother. "Mommy and her boys are over the moon," Hello magazine quoted publicist Cindy Berger as saying.

Guitar King Joe Satriani rocks Mumbai (Go To Top)

     Mumbai: Guitar legend Joe Satriani performed live here recently with the ecstatic crowd going berserk over his tunes. Dressed stylishly in black, Satriani set the stage on fire with his trademark Ibanez red guitar and magnificent chord play. Known as "God of Guitar" for his immensely famous tunes like "Flying in a Blue Dream", "Starry Night", "House Full of Bullets" and "Psycho Monkey", Satriani gave the audience a taste of his forthcoming albums too and finally ended a whooping three-hour show with "Friends". The audience which had fans mainly in their 20s seemed mesmerised by the fantastic guitar play. "The crowd is too good. I mean the people around here know the music and it's really great," said Mayank, a fan. Sandeep, another fan said: "Picking up finally. I am excited. When I was in college I used to pick up his stuff." Satriani will also perform in a concert in Kolkata and Bangalore. Satriani, hugely popular in the music world, is known for teaching guitar to Kirk Hammet of "Metallica" and solo musician Steve Vai. Satriani's progressive style of guitar playing enables him to adapt to different musical genres and experiment with modern gadgets to enhance the sounds. Satraini with 13 Grammy nominations, 11 solo albums and over 10 millions copies sold worldwide, is performing for the first time in India.

Usher not to star opposite Beyonce in Dreamgirls (Go To Top)

     Washington: Usher's mother Jonnetta Patton has denied reports saying that he is set to star opposite Beyonce Knowles in a new movie titled Dreamgirls. According to Contact music, Usher was named alongside Jamie Foxx as co-stars in the movie, but Patton insists her son has not signed on for the project. "Usher has not confirmed his participation in the film Dreamgirls, and a deal has not been set or finalized (corr)," she was quoted as saying.

Liz Hurley signs a new film (Go To Top)

     London: Liz Hurley, who last month announced that she had quit acting to spend more time with her son Damian, has now said that she will appear alongside Lucy Liu in an upcoming Hollywood film titled 'The Cleaner. According to the Daily Mail, details of the 16 million pounds film, which stars US comic Cedric as a janitor who develops amnesia and is fooled into believing he is an undercover agent on the trail of an international arms ring, were announced at the Cannes Film Festival. While Lucy Liu stars as the real agent who ends up falling for the janitor-cum-spy, Hurley will play a femme fatale who tries to seduce the hapless janitor for her own ends.

Hilary Duff back in 'Cheaper by the Dozen' sequel (Go To Top)

     Washington: Hilary Duff, who played Lorraine in 20t century Fox's comedy 'Cheaper by the Dozen', is now all set to return to the family by agreeing to star in a sequel to the project. In the film, which grossed more than 135 million dollars after its release in December 2003, Duff plays daughter of Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt, who have already committed to another run as parents. "The franchise rocks, and the sequel's gonna be fun," Zap2It quoted Duff as saying.
