Jolie's adoption addiction rubs off on Brad Pitt

     London: It seems that Angelina Jolie has greatly influenced Hollywood star Brad Pitt, who has revealed that he too wants to adopt a child, something that is very close to Jolie's heart. Pitt recently visited orphans in Africa with Angelina and said that the trip motivated him to bring up a child. "I don't see how I can't, seeing what I've seen. It makes all the sense in the world. I'm going back in a couple of weeks. There are some kids I want to visit. It's as much for me as them," the Sun quoted the actor as saying. Angelina has an adopted son, Maddox, and according to pals, Pitt is impressed by their relationship.

Robbie Williams voted Best Solo Artist, U2 Best Live Band ever (Go To Top)

     London: 'Let me entertain you' singer Robbie Williams has been voted the Best Live Solo Artist of All Time in a poll conducted by Carling. According to the Sun, while Robbie beat music legends David Bowie, Elvis Presley and Elton John, Irish rockers U2 topped the Best Live Band Of All Time category, followed by Queen, Oasis, The Rolling Stones and Radiohead. The Stone Roses and Nirvana have been voted the Best Album Of All Time and Best Live Album Of All Time respectively. Nirvana's 'Smells like teen spirit' was voted the Top Single of All Time.

Arun Nayar's divorce delayed (Go To Top)

     London: Arun Nayar's estranged wife Valentina Pedroni has reportedly rejected 620,000 pounds settlement offerred by him, thereby delaying their divorce. Nayar and girlfriend Liz Hurley are currently in Mumbai, India, where Pedroni is fighting for a portion of Nayar's fortune. Both parties were due in court for a hearing but Judge Aruna Faraswani adjourned the case for a second time. "They just can't seem to resolve their differences. In his divorce petition, Nayar alleged Pedroni's "extravagant lifestyle and constant demand for money led me to live a life of constant anxiety and destroyed my self-confidence," Daily Mirror quoted an insider as saying.

Mick Jagger to help ex-wife find her 'Kept' man (Go To Top)

     Washington: Rock legend Mick Jagger is said to be very impressed by his ex-wife Jerry Hall's new reality TV show 'Kept', in which she romances young men. The 'Rolling Stones' star, who was earlier furious about the concept, has not only agreed to appear in an episode, but also promised to help Hall find her kept man. "He suggested we teach the guys about French wine," Rate the Music quoted Hall as saying.

     London: Pop star Mariah Carey seems to have a strange fetish and is willing to go to any extent for that. The singer reportedly employs an assistant just to keep her skirts from touching the floor. According to femalefirst quoting US magazine Stuff, the assistant also has to carry a designer Luis Vuitton backpack filled with bottled water so that Mariah never goes thirsty.

     London: Hotel heiress Paris Hilton, who is dating Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis, has said that she values a pleasing personality and a good sense of humour above good looks in her choice of partners. The socialite said that earlier she used to prefer looks to personality, but now her priorities have changed and she wants someone who can make her laugh. "I just want someone who is loyal to me, who treats me well and loves me, is funny and makes me laugh. They don't even have to be cute. When I was younger I just wanted to date all the hot guys, but now I'm just like, these people are not going to be beautiful forever and it doesn't matter," femalefirst quoted her as saying.

     Washington: Angelina Jolie has denied press reports which claimed that she bedded actor Brad Pitt while he was still married to his wife Jennifer Aniston. The 'Tomb Raider' star has said that she could never be a second woman in a married man's life. According to Femalefirst, in the upcoming US issue of Marie Claire , the sexy actress said that she would never get intimate with a married man due her father's affair that reportedly ruined her family. "To be intimate with a married man, when my own father cheated on my mother, is not something I could forgive. I could not, could not, look at myself in the morning if I did that." she said. "I am not dating anybody. I think the next man I get involved with would have to become MAD's (adopted son MADDOX) father, and that's a high bar as far as I'm concerned," she added.

Music concerts better stress-busters than sex (Go To Top)

     London: Music concerts act as better stress busters than sex, if the results of a recent survey are to be believed. The survey conducted by Lager giant Carling, had a majority of people claiming that listening to live rock is better than having sex for relieving tension. Out of 5000 people quizzed on live music, 78 percent confirmed that listening to music de-stresses them better than having an inter-course with their partner and 49 per cent said gigs were their most relaxing leisure activity. "Not only do you get to see great live music but everyone involved goes home satisfied - not always the case with sex."The Sun quoted Carling spokesman Martin Coyle as saying.

     London: A British firm Bromsgrove-based Daycar has launched a portable, in-car lavatory for use by people with medical conditions, as well as families with small children. According to The BBC, the Indipod is aimed at people with bowel and bladder problems and is housed in an inflatable "bubble" which is powered from the car's cigarette lighter. It is designed to be used in multi-purpose vehicles, four-wheel drives and estate cars. When not is use, the Indipod folds away into a bag the size of a suitcase and weighs 8kg. "For people with bowel disease, incontinence or bladder problems, this product is not a luxury, it's a necessity. It's giving them back their social lives and their freedom," Daycar managing director, Barbara May was quoted as saying. The company says that the chemicals break down waste into a "sweet smelling, inoffensive liquid", which can be disposed of at the end of a journey. It says that there is no residual smell in the vehicle once the Indipod has been used, and that one sachet of chemicals is enough for one person's use for about eight days. The bubble or "private sanitary sanctuary" inflates to an area about 1.2m high by a metre wide and is sufficient to accommodate two people, according to Mrs May. If there is luggage or shopping in the back of the vehicle the bubble expands around it and occupies only empty space. Once it is no longer required, the power cord is disconnected and it can be packed away into its bag.
