Duchess of York's nude photo auctioned for charity

London: A photo of the Duchess of York wearing just a pair of Jimmy Choos shoes and a Cartier bracelet was put under the hammer in London earlier this week. The photo, which features Sarah Ferguson in an alluring pose, was part of a sale at Christie's and was originally taken from a book titled 'Four Inches', which was released to raise money for Elton John's AIDS foundation charity. The book also featured a galaxy of celebrities including Paris Hilton, Kate Moss and Rachel Hunter, all posing in the nude apart from their shoes. According to femalefirst, the auction raised over 2 million dollars for charity.

Paris Hilton thanks God for good 'Karma' (Go To Top)

London: Hotel heiress Paris Hilton has blamed others for the series of misfortunes which badly affected her life over the last couple of years, but says that God always gives her good karma back. The socialite, who remained in the news in past years for her sex video controversy, her favourite pooch Tinkerbell, release of her phone book on internet, and the likes, said that her bad luck was all down to mixing with the wrong crowd. "I'm always crying and saying, 'I can't believe this happens to me,' but it's other people who do things - it's never my fault," femalefirst quoted Hilton as saying. However, even though she had all the horrible things happening to her, she says that ultimately God does justice to her. "I think God knows I'm a good person. I always get good karma back, so even though the most horrible thing could happen, somehow God changes it around. It's made me learn to be very wary, mature faster than most people and get my life together. Now I couldn't be happier," she added.

Tarantino and Rodriguez become partners in horror (Go To Top)

London: Filmmakers Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez, who worked together in 'From Dusk Till Dawn' and 'Sin City', are joining hands to launch a new film company Weinstein Co. According to the Sun, each will write and direct a 60-minute horror film and the two movies will be packaged back-to-back under the title 'Grind House'. The movies, which are scheduled to be released in Spring 2006, pay a tribute to the old big-city movie houses whose back-to-back productions created the 'Grindhouse' genre. Quentin, who sampled the Grindhouse style in his Kill Bill films, said that he would like to continue his partnership with Robert. "Grind House could be the first in a series of films," he said.

The 47-year old actress's mum Dorothy, 72, has recently flown down to be with her daughter at her London home. According to the report, the grandma is gladly lending family support to her daughter by sharing her happiness.

'Revenge of the Sith' set to break all box-office records (Go To Top)

Washington: George Lucas' 'Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith' continues to rule the box office, hitting the 200-million-dollar mark in North America on the eighth day of its release. The film ties 'Spider-Man 2' as the fastest to reach the milestone. But according to box-office analysts, the film's success is not much of a surprise, as it grossed 50 million dollars in its first day in theaters on May 19. "This is a phenomenal box-office achievement. The 50 million- dollar day was sort of a foregone conclusion it would be a sprinter to 200 million-dollar. And it's already the top-grossing film released this year," E! Online quoted Paul Dergarabedian, president of box office tracking film Exhibitor Relations, as saying.
