Hitler planned 'chocolate blitzkrieg' to bludgeon Britain (Go To Top)

     London: Believe it or not, Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler was planning to conquer Britain by smuggling explosives into items like chocolates, plums, throat sweets, shaving brushes, soap, lumps of coal, motor oil, thermos flasks and pencils. He had even asked his spies to stuff dead rats with explosives. According to two World War II secret files, a three-man team of spies,including a British Indian were picked up on the south- west coast of Ireland in July 1940 and interned in Dublin after they were found armed with raw materials and instructions, reports The Sun. A note in the National Archives in London reads: "The bomb is made of steel with a thin covering of real chocolate. "When the piece of chocolate at the end is broken off, the canvas shown is pulled, and after a delay of seven seconds, a bomb explodes." A drawing of sausage, mash and peas demonstrates how explosives and timer would have been concealed in a workman's lunch-box under a false bottom. The photos also include a diagram showing how a tin of peas could be turned into a grenade. An informer also told MI5 at the time that the team plotted to blow up Buckingham Palace, reports the tabloid.

     London: The clichis that blondes have more fun and gentlemen prefer blondes may not hold true anymore, as a new study has revealed that in today's world men get more turned on by brunettes than blondes. A study undertaken by researchers at City University showed that modern men want brains and sophistication, which are most often associated with brunettes. Their study into hair colour and the intensity of attraction showed that 51 per cent of men thought brunettes were more attractive. Researchers showed a sample of 1,500 men three pictures of the same model digitally enhanced as a blonde, a brunette and a redhead. Brunettes were described as intelligent by 81 per cent of respondents, while 67 per cent of men described them as independent and self sufficient.

     London: Supermodel Jodie Kidd seems to have got so fascinated by sexy actress Jennifer Lopez's butt, that she is ready to have plastic surgery to have a curvaceous bottom like hers. The catwalk queen has reportedly admitted that she would have no problem going under the surgeon's knife to improve her flat backside, and make it as curvaceous as that of the Latin beauty's. "I would probably change my bum I think I've ridden too many horses in my life," Femalefirst quoted her as saying. "They talk about rider's bum and mine seems to be getting worse as I get older. I could get J'Lo buttocks that would make me feel better," she added. However Jodie, who wants to have a sexy bottom, insists that she is not interested in having a boob job because she doesn't want to look like glamour girl Jordan . "I wouldn't want to do it like Jordan and have enormous knockers. I'd do it if I felt awful about myself and knew it would make me feel better It's wonderful if it makes you feel happy about yourself," the report quoted her as telling Britain's Star magazine.

Madonna may turn LA nightclub boss (Go To Top)

     London: Pop diva Madonna is all set to open her own nightclub in Hollywood. The singer, who is currently recovering from her horrific horse- riding accident, has bought a property in Hollywood, which she wants to turn into a trendy night spot. "It's on a street called Cahuenga Boulevard, which is just south of Hollywood Boulevard," a source was quoted by Femalefirst, as saying. "No signs yet as to what it's to be called, but the place will face some stiff competition as the area's becoming quite the late night hotspot" he added. Although she owns a home in Los Angeles, Madonna currently spends most of her time in the UK with British husband Guy Ritchie and her two children, Lourdes and Rocco.

Aniston keeping Vaughn close to her chest (Go To Top)

     Washington: Though, Jennifer Aniston , the estranged wife of Brad Pitt, has chosen to remain quiet about her relationship with 'The Break-Up' co-star Vince Vaughn, she has recently spraked rumours over being romantically linked with him, by wearing a vest with his name emblazoned across the front. The former Friends actress was spotted taking a walk in Malibu, California sporting the garment which reads, 'Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show' across the front, reports Contactmusic. Aniston split from Brad Pitt, her husband of four years, in January (05).

Madonna's hubby wants more babies with her  (Go To Top)

     Washington: 'Material Girl' Madonna may well turn into a 'Material Mum', if hubby Guy Richie's avowed love for kids is anything to go by. Richie and Madonna already have a five year old son, Rocco, and along with Madonna's eight year old daughter, Lourdes, seemingly make up the ideal family, Richie says that he loves kids so much, that he would never tire of the thrill of every new experience of fatherhood. "I'd like to have more children. I love it. I love fatherhood. I could bang on about kids forever," Contact music quoted him, as saying.

Jude provides post-split support to Sienna (Go To Top)

     London: Hollywood actress Sienna Miller has broken her silence over her fianci Jude Law and has revealed that the love-cheat star had been really supportive, since they split over his fling with his children's nanny. However, the 23-year-old actress, who was at the Venice Film Festival promoting her new film Casanova, has given no hints that she has any plans to get back with her 32-year-old ex-lover. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I'm okay," the Sun quoted her as telling GMTV correspondent Carla Romano. "I'd be lying if I said that it hasn't been a really rough couple of months, but at the end of the day I've got a huge support system. My mum, my sister, all my best mates and Jude have been really supportive," she added. Despite taking their seperate ways by calling off their engagement, the couple are likely to attend Sienna's sister Savannah's wedding together.
