New
York: 'Basic Instinct' star and mother of two, Sharon
Stone, has said that her proximity to the Dalai Lama over
the last decade, was mainly responsible for making her a
more compassionate person, as well as teaching her to be
a kinder and gentler speaker. "I've had the great good fortune
over the last probably decade of getting to work together
with His Holiness the Dalai Lama. ... I've learned to tell
the truth in a more compassionate way. I'm trying to be
a kinder and gentler speaker," The New York Daily News quoted
her, as saying. She also says that helping to achieve world
peace was her mission, and that she had been doing her bit
towards achieving her goals. "I've been speaking in many
places on the subject of peace, on the conceptualizing of
peace," she told the paper.

Washington:
Too much work on Kenny Chesney's hands, was apparently
the reason why he could not find time to make his marriage
work with Renee Zellweger. Chesney, who along with Renee
filed for annulment of their marriage last week, has confessed
that he failed to balance his private and professional life,
leading to the breakdown of his marriage. "I'm all right.
I'm good. There have been better times, but I'll be okay.
"I hit everything so hard this year. I had the biggest tour
I've ever done, I had a record to finish that was real important
to me, and, of course, I had something new in my personal
life and I was trying to do that too. It really ended up
being too much. "I'm tired right now, but by next year,
I'll be excited to get back to it. And it'll be about the
music again, not about the sideshow,"ratethemusic quoted
him as telling Country Weekly.
Madonna's
too tough to die from a horsefall, says Richie (Go

London:
People have known to have died from horse-falls, but
that doesn't apply to 'Material Girl' Madonna, whose hubby
says that she is too tough to die in that way. Richie, who
was close to the accident site when Madonna fell off her
horse last month, says that though he was worried at her
pale appearance after her fall, he was convinced that she
was in no danger of dying. "I was about five minutes away
when it happened. I was worried as she was as white as a
sheet. "But I wasn't thinking she would die - I thought
she was too tough for that," The Sun quoted him, as saying.
He also says that despite the pain, Madonna refused to take
adequate rest as advised by the doctors. "Once you know
eight bones are broken, you know there's a legacy of pain
to pay for the next two months. "And those bones can't be
set, so you just have to sit there for the next six to eight
weeks. But there wasn't a lot of taking it easy - she was
up and running in no time," he added.

London:
Actress Keira Knightley is said to have behaved very
business-like to get away with the embarrassment, when director
Tony Scott asked her to choose her bottom double during
the filming for new film Domino. The Pride and Prejudice
star, who never had inhibitions going topless onscreen,
reportedly refused to bare her bottom for a lapdancing scene
in the movie, and hence the director paraded three girls
in front of her from which she chose the most suitable one
to take her place. "Tony brought three girls in to choose
from. It was hard not to laugh but I didn't want to offend
anyone," the Mirror quoted the 20-year-old actress as saying.
"I decided to be very businesslike. They all had very nice
bottoms and I chose one," she added.
Liz
Hurley 'bewitched' by 'bubbly' (Go

London:
When it comes to resolve, it seems celeb- status offers
no special protection from the lure of sparkling champagne,
even if you're Liz Hurley, and have sworn off alcohol. According
to The Mirror, Hurley's evening at her pal Donatella Versace's
private dinner party, which began with her firm resolve
to stay off alcohol , didn't quite end that way, with her
succumbing to the lure of Bacchus, leading to her having
a giggling fit. "Before the dinner started, artist Tracey
Emin offered her a glass of champagne," the paper quoted
a guest as saying. "Liz said she couldn't drink, not since
she gave birth to her son, Damian. She said she just couldn't
handle her drink and that one glass would get her completely
p****d." "By the time she left she was looking more than
a little merry. And by the time she got into her car, she
was giggling like mad," he added.
