October 26, 2010 | Wills Fashion Week features designers Nidhi, Divya Gambhir |
New Delhi: Fashion designers Nidhi and Divya Gambhir showcased their latest collection 'Walnut' on the third day of the ongoing Wills Fashion Week in New Delhi. The collection
was inspired by the late 60's music but made to appeal to today's buyers. Designer
Nidhi Gambhir said the collection was made keeping in view the needs and liking
of everyone so that everyone is left with the choices to pick up from them. "Basically,
it is not just we wanted to create something which is like or everybody. The collection,
there were so many different pieces in that, there was colour block, there is
a printed piece, there is a ruffled piece, there is so much," said Nidhi Gambhir.
"Everyone has a different liking, so everyone will be given with a choice to pick
up whatever they can. So, something which is like easy, simple, understandable
and just like wearable," she added. Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week, one of the largest
fashion trade events in Asia , will showcase its Spring/Summer collection of 2011
edition till October 27 in the ongoing extravaganza. With an exciting collection
of impeccable lounges, salons, exotic onsite restaurants and novel exhibitions
the Fashion Week is held at the Pragati Maidan, the international trade fair complex
in New Delhi . Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) claims this event to be
the biggest ever fashion bash with 115 designers taking part this year.
