Gisele Bundchen tops Forbes’ highest paid model list with $45m fortune

London: Gisele Bundchen has been revealed as the world’s highest-paid model in the latest ranking by Forbes. Although Kate Moss, Miranda Kerr and Lara Stone also made it to the list with impressive fortunes, the Brazialian supermodel’s 45-million-dollar earnings put her way ahead of her peers, the Daily Mail reported. Also making it to the top ten were Natalia Vodianova, Adriana Lima and Candice Swanepoel, but the list revealed some notable absences, such as model mogul Heidi Klum. The 31-year-old model made an estimated 45 million dollars from May 1st, 2011 to May 1st, 2012, remaining an unparalleled force within the fashion world. As well as her regular modelling jobs, she counts spokesperson deals, and independent licensing ventures as her main form of income. She endorses brands such as Pantene, Esprit, and Versace, and makes a percentage of profits on her Ipanema flip-flops and many other Brazilian products bearing her name. Moss may have secured the second spot, but the British supermodel was placed with earnings of 9.2 million dollars, down from 13.5 million dollars last year. The 38-year-old remains one of fashion’s biggest icons, and endorses brands such as Longchamp, Mango, Rimmel, and Vogue Eyewear, not to mention her longstanding design deal with TopShop, going back to 2007. The top 10 highest paid models by Forbes were: Gisele Bundchen – 45 million dollars Kate Moss – 9.2 million dollars Natalia Vodianova – 8.6 million dollars Adriana Lima – 7.3 million dollars Doutzen Kroes – 6.9 million dollars Alessandra Ambrosio – 6.6 million dollars Miranda Kerr – 4 million dollars Lara Stone – 3.8 million dollars Carolyn Murphy – 3.5 million dollars Candice Swanepoel – 3.1 million dollars.
