Models walk the ramp at Bangalore Fashion Week

Bangalore: Models walked the ramp showcasing vivacious collection of ace fashion designers at the Bangalore Fashion Week over the weekend. The third day of Blenders Pride Bangalore Fashion Week saw Bollywood celebrities' Dino Morea, Arunoday Singh and Mink Singh flouncing down the runway wearing a blistering collection of clothes designed by well known designers. Bollywood actress Mink Singh sashayed down the ramp wearing a blue dress and praised the designer Maushmi Badra for its uniqueness "I am wearing a Maushmi Badra's creation and I think she completed live it what she promised me. She said I will make you look like an angel and I think it's a mixture of angel, fairy and everything and I think it's very important the designer needs to understand that when a girl wants to wear something she wants to look pretty and Maushmi's made me look really beautiful," said Singh. Designer Maushmi Badra, who has been inspired by Lord Buddha, showcased her collection on the different stages of life of Lord Buddha. Badra's collection was a fusion of textures like velvet and net, with prices starting from 7,000 rupees ($126.72) onwards. Talking to the reporter a fashion designer Ramesh Dembla said his collection was inspired by various shades of the ocean. "The collection was Kolkotoro Oceana basically inspired by the colours of the ocean when I watch it in the night when the moonlight hits it and in the morning how the ocean looks. The same ocean looks different every hour so that was my inspiration," said Dembla. Designer Rakhi Peethamber's ethereal collection influenced by string of gems, pearls showcased variety of cocktail dresses, evening gowns and bridal wears. The Bangalore Fashion Week that kicked off on Thursday focuses mainly on wedding apparels and accessories.
