MUMBAI, Dec 15: Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's son, 25-year-old Aryan Khan
has launched Slab Ventures, a fashion and beverage company, along with his business
partners Bunty Singh and Leti Blagoeva.
Slab Ventures products will sell under a collective called D’YAVOL. It will
offer Vodka - D’YAVOL Vodka - as the first product and will launch other beverages
and apparel lines later.
Slab Ventures has tied up with the world’s largest brewing company, Anheuser-Busch
InBev (AB InBev), to distribute and market the product. The latter is famous
for its Budweiser and Corona beer. AB InBev India sells the beer in the country.
D’YAVOL is imported from Poland and is available in Maharashtra for Rs 5,000,
in Goa for Rs 4,000 and in Karnataka for Rs 6,500, according to reports. It
will soon be available in Delhi and other north Indian towns. Bacardi’s Grey
Goose and LVMH’s Belvedere are competitors.
However, Indians mostly consume whisky, brandy and rum.
"It’s been nearly 5 years since the conception of this lifestyle luxury collective.
D’Yavol is finally here," Aryan Khan wrote on Instagram
“As of now, we’re thinking of an apparel line that comes in March and it will
be brought to the consumer by limited edition capsule collections, made available
to them via drops on our web-store. As we go on from there, there will perhaps
be more verticals,” Aryan Khan said.
The partners are family friends.
