May 17, 2010 | Hindus laud Delhi Metro for using Gita as management-text & urge all corporations to follow |
Nevada (US):Hindus have applauded Delhi Metro for reportedly giving copy of Bhagavad-Gita to its senior managers as a management-text and urged other international and domestic corporations in India to do the same. Delhi Metro is said to be among
the best urban transport systems in the world and its performance has been labeled
"outstanding". Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today,
said that Bhagavad-Gita (Song of the Lord) unfolded the path to train the mind
to accomplish flawlessness and distinction in action. It should be each executive's
prized possession. Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, further
said that ancient Hindu epic Mahabharata (of which Gita was a part), besides other
wisdom, was also a comprehensive manual on strategic management. Even the Panchatantra,
through its tales, could teach effective leadership skills and ethics to modern
managers. Rajan Zed urged all the Indian Institutes of Management also to include
Bhagavad-Gita as one of the texts in their MBA courses. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation
Limited, whose corporate culture is to project "we mean business" attitude, is
headed by Chairman M. Ramachandran, while E. Sreedharan is the Managing Director.

was carrying 20 special police officers (SPO) and over 30 civilians. The SPOs were
on their way to participate in a special recruitment drive. The latest blast incident
has taken place a day after the Maoists called for a 48 hour shutdown in five
states-Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh. The sources
said the attack might have been a pre -planned one. Reportedly, the Maoists also
fired on the bus after the blast to ensure that nobody stays alive. |
