by the match officials overshadowed the first half, where they ruled that England
midfielder Frank Lampard’s long-range shot had not crossed the line, The Sydney
Morning Herald reports. However, Joachim Loew’s men went on to make the game safe
with two second half goals from Thomas Muller. Germany will now play their quarterfinal
match against winner of Argentina-Mexico Round of 16 match.
