Violence in Moradabad casino
Moradabad: Police resorted to baton charge to disperse violent people in a theme park here on Tuesday. The violence allegedly started in a casino illegally operating in the Prem Wonderland Water Kingdom. Later, it spilled out and casino workers started beating randomly even those who had come to visit the park. Sajjad, who had come along with his family, said he was beaten up by casino workers. "I was here with my son and they started beating us without any reason. There was gambling going on. They did not differentiate between people coming to visit the park and those coming to gamble. They started beating everyone randomly," said Sajjad. The casino fight began over some money payment issue. However, a casino co-owner said the casino was closed before the violence started. "Casino was closed before the fight started," said Yasin, a casino co-owner. During the fight, many people were injured and the park property was damaged.
