Incessant rain causes flash floods in Jammu
Jammu:Incessant rains caused flash floods in Jammu on Sunday, both inundating residential areas and slums. According to official sources, about ten villages or 25,000 people have been severely affected by the floods which caused rivers such as the Hati River to overflow. Houses in nearby villages also have collapsed due to the force of water. The areas affected include Dogra Chowk, Vikram Chowk, Jammu University and the Kalka Colony of Gorkha Nagar areas. Hundreds of people and vehicles have been stranded after roads were cut off by floodwaters.
