Australia thrash India 8-0 to win CWG men's hockey gold
New Delhi:World champion Australia thrashed India 8-0 in the final of the Indian men's hockey event at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium here to win gold at the Delhi
Commonwealth Games. India got the silver medal in the event that was expected to be a real
thriller. New Zealand won the bronze in men's hockey event earlier in the day
defeating England 5-2 in penalty shootout. Both teams were tied at 3-3 at the
end of scheduled time and extra time.
