Maoists kill four in Bihar, Chhattisgarh
Banka:The Maoists killed four people and injured two others in Bihar's Banka district and Chhattisgarh's Rajanandgaon district today. According to sources, over 30 armed Maoists struck Baratand village and fired several rounds killing two people on the spot. Two others suffered injuries and were admitted to a nearby government hospital. The incident is believed to be in retaliation to the killing of a hardcore Naxalite in the district in 2008. In Chhattisgarh, the deceased, identified as Gopi Ram and Rajendra Koreti, were killed on suspicion of being informants to the police. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem to the Civil Hospital at Rajnandgaon. Meanwhile, security personnel arrested two suspected Maoists in West Bengal 's Bankura region. The arrests were made during a combing operation in the forests under Ranibandh police station area.
