PM to inaugurate Badarpur-Faridabad Delhi Metro section on Sept 6
NEW DELHI: The satellite city of Faridabad will be connected to Delhi by Metro when Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the Badarpur-Faridabad corridor on September 6, according to the Delhi Metro Railway Corporation (DMRC).
The Delhi Metro Railway Corporation (DMRC) line of 13.87 km will
be an extension of ITO-Badarpur corridor. The elevated tracks will pass through nine stations - Sarai, NHPC Chowk, Mewala Maharajpur, Sector 28, Badkal Mor,
Old Faridabad, Neelam Chowk Ajronda, Bata Chowk and Escorts Mujesar.
The DMRC has conducted trial runs.
The average traffic on the present Line-6 is around 2 lakh passengers per day. Line 6 will be extended to run from Kashmere Gate to Escorts Mujesar, a length of 43.4 km. The line will have 32 stations. The five interchange stations are Kashmere Gate, Mandi House, Central Secretariat, Lajpat Nagar and Kalkaji Mandir.
