PANAJI: An Israeli national was arrested at the Dabolim international airport here with live cartridges on Saturday afternoon. Six cartridges were found in his aggage in an X-ray scan. Biton Eliyan, 32, was on his way to Delhi. He has been arrested under the Arms Act.
The case is being investigated by the Vasco police. "The cartridge was found in the baggage during an X-ray scan at around 2.45 PM and after a preliminary inquiry, Eliyan was arrested two hours later," a police officer said.
