Indian democracy can overcome terrorism, says Ian Luder
Mumbai:
London's Lord Mayor Ian Luder
has said that Indian democracy was vibrant enough overcome the menace of terror.
Luder is leading a 25-member delegation to strengthen ties between the United
Kingdom and India. He was attending an event at hotel Taj in Mumbai, which was
hit by a terror attack in November last. "That was a tragic, very tragic event,
and oversee loss of lives. But I think you have to make a clear stand, the terrorism
is not going to win in a civilized society such as India," Luder said. Luder,
who is on a week-long trip to India, witnessed the signing of a memorandum of
understanding between the institute of chartered accounts of India and institute
