Senegal football star Diouf cleared of racial abuse charge
London:
Senegalese footballer El-Hadji Diouf has been cleared of racially abusing a ball boy during
a match at Everton last month. According to The Sun, Merseyside Police investigated
the Blackburn star for his conduct in a 3-0 loss on September 20. He later enraged
the Toffees by claiming bananas were thrown at him. Rovers sources revealed the
matter was now closed due to a lack of evidence against Diouf. But Diouf raged:
"People talked about something that never existed, saying I'm a racist. The proof
is that the match referee sided with me. Am I a racist? I am a desperado and a
bad boy. My manager is proud of me and I'm the leader. El-Hadji Diouf is a star
whether you like it or not. I'm happy at Blackburn but Father Christmas could
bring me something new!"
