Mumbai:
The first session of the
newly constituted 12th Maharashtra Assembly is likely to begin from November 3.
The session is likely to be of three -day long. According to sources, all the
277 newly elected members would be sworn in during the session. State Governor
S C Jamir will address the newly constituted assembly. The house will also elect
new Speaker during the session and Chief Minister Ashok Chavan is likely to move
a confidence motion in the floor of the house. Sources added that swearing in
ceremony of Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, Deputy Chief Minister Chagan Bhujbal
and a team of ministers is likely to tale place in a day or two. Winter session
of the assembly will be held in Nagpur in December.
