Yeddyurappa transfers his Principal Secretary
New Delhi: In a move aimed at breaking the political logjam in Karnataka and to bring dissident leaders to the negotiating table, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa today transferred his Principal Secretary V P Baligar. The Chief Project Officer of Karnataka Highway Development project, I S N Prasad has been nominated in his place. Baligar, who had been the target of an attack by the Janardhana Reddy faction, now holds the post of Principal Secretary, Industry and Commerce. Meanwhile, media reports of the resignation of MLAs loyal to the Janardhana Reddy faction have been denied. State Chief Minister Yeddyurappa has cancelled a meeting of his council of ministers for today in Bangalore . He has also postponed his return journey from Delhi to this evening.
