Shutdown paralyses normal life in Assam's Nalbari district
Nalbari (Assam): Normal life has been paralysed in the Nalbari district of Lower Assam due to a dawn to dusk shutdown call given by the All Assam Students Union. The shutdown call has been given in protest against Sunday's twin blasts, killing seven people and injuring 53. Vehicles are off the roads including on National Highway-31. Government offices, business establishments, financial and educational institutions are closed. According to sources, security personnel have launched massive combing operation to nab the militants of ULFA militants who allegedly triggered off the blasts.
