Seven fresh dengue cases surface in Delhi, total reaches 1068
New Delhi:With seven fresh cases of dengue emerging in the capital, the State health department has said that the total number of people affected by this mosquito-borne disease has reached 1,068. Debashish Bhattacharya, the state nodal health officer for dengue cases, confirmed seven new cases of dengue on Saturday. Of the total affected, 1,055 are Delhi residents and 13 from outside the city, he added. The arrival of winter has been attributed as the primary cause for the spread of dengue in the city. Two deaths have been reported in Delhi so far. One was a fifteen-year old boy and the other a nine-year old.
