Lahore:After obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from
the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) 12 Pakistani cricketers have sent their names for auction for the third edition of the Indian Premier League's (IPL). The players
name have not been made public, but sources said most of the touring squad members
currently in Australia have been in touch with the IPL administration. "All the
players here have sent emails to Lalit Modi expressing their interest for next
season. We haven't yet applied for visas to India but we have the NOC's in place
from the board," The Daily Times quoted one of the players, as saying. . The IPL
had set December 31 as the deadline for the Pakistani players send their names
for the auction for IPL 3. Four cricketers Kamran Akmal, Sohail Tanvir, Misbah-ul-Haq
and Umar Gul already have a contract with different franchises from the first
edition, however the contracts currently stands suspended.
