Cables infrastructure will be utilized to extend broadband services with the last
mile connectivity on PPP basis to urban and rural areas. She said, the Indian
Railways already has a network of 37,000 kms of Optical Fibre Cables and work
on adding another 12,000 kms is in progress," Ms. Mamata said.
