Latehar (Jharkhand):A group of Maoists shot three bullets into a teen-aged girl in Jharkhand's Latehar district on Thursday. The Maoists shot Anju Kumari (17) for filing a police complaint against
one of them. The girl had registered a case of molestation against Pappu Lohar,
the zonal commander of the Maoist Communist Centre (MCC). Police personnel have
launched a search operation for the shooters. Maoist rebels on February 22, had
offered a conditional 72-day ceasefire through media, and said they were willing
to talk to the government if the anti-Maoist operation, called Operation 'Green
Hunt' is aborted.
