French woman found dead in Udaipur hotel: Murder suspected, probe on
Udaipur: Police in Rajasthan’s Udaipur City is probing the death of a 24-year old French woman, whose body was found under mysterious circumstances in a hotel room this week. The police confirmed finding injury marks on the head and neck of Anne Louise Marie, who was staying at a low-cost hotel in Udaipur. "They stayed at the hostel at night. A local man named Dhruv also stayed with her. We are inspecting the hotel room, trying to find out what could have led to her death. A postmortem
on the body will be done once the family members and embassy officials are here,
but till then, we are investigating the case," said Tejraj Singh , Udaipur 's
Additional Superintendent of Police. Police have arrested Dhruva Sharma . Marie
, who was in India on a tourist visa, had gone to Pushkar with Sharma. She injured
her foot during an accident while coming from there on March 2. Marie had come
to Udaipur , one of the sought after tourist destination, on February 24.
