Maoists send second e-mail to Orissa CM, threaten Dantewada model attack
Bhubaneshwar: Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's office on Thursday received a fresh e-mail threat from suspected Maoists. According to Orissa Police, the
e-mail threatened to carry out a Dantewada-type massacre in the state. The Chief
Minister's office (CMO) said the e-mail was sent from pgla.ocac.in. This is the
second e-mail threat received by the Orissa CMO over the past fortnight. On March
27, the Orissa CMO received an e-mail threat, which warned about plans to blow
up Patnaik's residence and important monuments in the state. The e-mail asked
the Orissa Government to stop anti-Maoists operations, a CMO official said. The
e-mail also claimed responsibility for the killing 11 Orissa Special Operation
Group (SOG) personnel by triggering off a land mine at Baipariguda on Sunday.
The e-mail also threatened to paralyze the Orissa Government's official website,
an official added.
