London: Indian cinema's biggest star couple, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, hit the red carpet for the world premiere of their film Raavan here recently. Hundreds of screaming fans lined up at the British Film Institute next to Thames river to see their favourite stars. Aishwarya, who also plays in the film, looked quite excited at the event.
Earlier, the Bollywood actor attended about a dozen functions across Mumbai promoting his
film. The actor toured the city with six dancers dressed as characters in one of the songs from
Raavan attracting lot many fans. He also greeted fans from an open bus and was throwing
goodies like Raavan key chains and T-shirts to the crowd. The much-awaited film is directed
by ace south Indian filmmaker Mani Ratnam. Bachchan plays the role of Beera in the flick.
The movie also features his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who plays the character of a
dance teacher and is happily married to a policeman, played by Tamil actor Vikram. The
movie is all about how Beera causes mayhem in their lives. The film was slated to be released
on June 18.
